Publisher's Summary
At court, Rebecca meets the charming marquis Rupert St. John, whom Rebecca knows as the devastatingly handsome n'er-do-well cousin of Raphael Locke, the man she was once infatuated with. What Rebecca doesn't know is that Rupert is a secret agent of the crown who leads a double life.
Rebecca strikes up a lively flirtation with Rupert, but when Rupert realizes she's spying on him he seduces her. He hardly suspects that she's an innocent and he's horrified when she reveals she is pregnant! Forced to the altar by their families, Rupert believes that Rebecca has set a trap of the worst sort in order to marry into the powerful Locke family. And he vows that theirs will not simply be a marriage in name only; he plans to enjoy many passionate nights with his beautiful, scheming wife.
With her trademark humor, memorable characters, and passionate storytelling style, it's no wonder that Johanna Lindsey has more than 60 million copies of her novels in print.

Not a keeper
I loved the spirited females in this story but most of the plot devices were very contrived, and the motivations of the male lead were inexplicable. I enjoy period romances and this one does not stay true to its era's voice. Among a number of anachronisms the word "sexy" is used at least twice--no way in Victorian England. I have seen Lindsey do a better job in other books.

Everyone Loves a Well Narrated Lindsey
Where does A Rogue of My Own rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is a good, fun, light romance done in classic Lindsey style. Strong woman, strong man, some laughs and misunderstandings along the way, with an unrepressible attraction
What did you like best about this story?
The narration is always key to an audiobook. if you can't listen because the narrator's voice rhythm is off, the book is a loss. This narrator did a great job so I could lose myself in the story.

Great narration- mediocre story
I love this narrator and this genre so I thought I would give this book a try. Never read any of this authors books before. I just couldnt get into this one. I couldn't care about the characters because I didn't like them. Rebecca was pretty blah and the Rouge (I can't even remember his name he was so disappointing) was just a jerk. He has some wit but he wasn't all that likeable. Not very romantic.

Another great romance filled with intrigue
Great story filled with mystery, intrigue and of course a great romance. With a special invitation to serve the queen's court, our heiress immediately confronts trouble with a jealous, but powerful roommate, a call to perform her duty as a spy for the duchess. But she's no miss to be messed with. Realizing something is awry, she fights back and in a battle of wits and a strong attraction, she gets more help and trouble than she wants from "The Angel", her counterpart in the spy game. Forced to marry him, she won't lose and fights to win his love as well.

DRAWN out!!!!
loved the concept and the writing is terrific - narrator great.... trouble is, it is painfully drawn out and the coming together of the main characters is just not believable. it is like nails on a chalk board that made me impatient and annoyed. had great potential, but this was not one of her best

Are you supposed to laugh during the sex scenes?
Concept: Very Interesting.
Execution: Middling.
You're supposed to tingle during the romance scenes, you're supposed to feel what she feels, you're supposed to fall in love with the hero, you're not supposed to snort your Coke back through your nose! Perhaps it was just that the female narration made the hero's voice sound ridiculous, like a children's pantomime, but frankly the gentleman's dialog was very stilted to the point of making one roll one's eyes. The female characters were reasonably well written, but someone should have run the male dialog past a male.

Don't waste your money!
Rebecca is so stupid. The rogue is an a-hole. In a way they deserve each other. The only good this is the narrator and she couldn't even make me love this book. This is my first book by this author. It is also my last. I'm so mad I want my money back!

I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would you try another book from Johanna Lindsey and/or Rosalyn Landor?
No!
What was most disappointing about Johanna Lindsey’s story?
Rebecca! She's stupid to the end! Desperate for a guy who was rude to her to the very end! All the sudden he decided he loved her and then she just forgave him for being such an a$$! He didnt even have to prove or fight for her at all! He all the sudden at the very end decided to say he was sorry and all was forgiven! They had sex and the end. What the F!!!! I've never heard of a more stupid book! I'm so mad!! I want my f-ing money back!!!!!!!!!!!! Johanna Lindsey has a talent for pissing readers off and also creating stupid heroine!!! If you don't believe me, go read the reviews on amazon!
What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?
I love her voice. I JUST dislike the author!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger from beginning to end!
Any additional comments?
Do not waste your money! Unless u like to read about stupid whiney woman who has no pride what so ever and if you like disappointment or if you have money to waste, feel free to buy but other than that, stay away from this book! I really want to tell Johanna she wrote a very stupid story and I would like for her to give me back my 20 bucks I wasted on this stupid audio book.
