About this listen

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of After You by Jojo Moyes, the stunning sequel to the worldwide phenomenon Me Before You.

Jojo Moyes says: "I hadn't planned to write a sequel to Me Before You. But working on the movie script and reading the sheer volume of tweets and emails every day asking what Lou did with her life meant that the characters never left me. It has been such a pleasure revisiting Lou and her family and the Traynors and confronting them with a whole new set of issues. As ever, they have made me laugh and cry. I hope readers feel the same way at meeting them again."

Narration is very good. but i struggled with the story. the first book too was angsty with the suicide hanging overhead throughout. but there was fun and joy and lufe through the book. NOT the case here. it's boo hooo all the way..

too much angst.

Usually squeals to most stories seem like a drag these days. But I can say that this story was a little different. The twist it introduced was very interesting and after that everything just grew naturally until the very end.

Amazing squeal

When you read me before you, you instantly fall in love with the book, so when you know there is a sequel you expect the same writing, the same wit, some adventures. This book is nothing but a collection of cliches. It was absolutely not needed to write this to tell the story further.
Sometimes you have to leave readers wanting more.
The book is so plain and unnecessary that It took me strengths to finish the book.
Not recommended. Read me before you and imagine what happened to Lou after that, believe me you’d come up with better story.
