Publisher's Summary

In the aftermath of the destruction, Shaun finds himself trapped by the winter.

With little other choice, he joins a group of survivors doing the best they can. His idea of "best" isn’t always shared by the group, though. But before the weather breaks, when he wants to resume his journey, they all face conflict.

Miles away, doing the best that she can, Abbie is adapting to life without power; her own situation is far from ideal.

After the sound of the falling bombs fade, as the dark world they live in tries to recover, they have to find a way to adapt to their new reality.

It just gets worse!

Mr Ford is from England as am I so the stereotypical characteristics of the main characters in the first and second editions got on my nerves.
All the moral compass BS in a SHTF environment. WTF? Sean: I just knocked this guy out who had a shotgun pointed at my head but make sure you put him in the recovery position before moving on!?
And what happened to the weaponized Ebola strain that was in the last part of the first book? We had Spec-ops and their hard-core boss turn up and read in the virologist as to what was going on.
That plotline might as well not have happened. And it was the only reason I moved on to the second book only to find I got conned!
The only series I would ever recommend from this author is "After It Happened" and as I have said already ... if Mr Ford were a wine I would say avoid 2022 ...

If you need marriage counseling sessions, save your money and wait for the apocalypse instead. That is a brief synopsis of what I have just spent 19 odd hours finding out. That is the LAST D C Ford book I will ever pay for. I would rather get throat cancer than listen to part 3!
You sir (Mr Ford) need to up your game. You are up against D. J. Molles, Mark Tufo, J. L. Bourne, Keith C. Blackmore et al ...
