An engaging setting with a fantastic story

The book is about a 1960's airport with many intersecting storylines and a great story told with incredible attention to detail about the aviation industry itself and the humans that run it.

The book although old promises a deep highlight into how airports and the people inside it work. If you are like me who always wondered about the inner machinery of airports, this is book for you!

Arguably Hailey’s best !

Hailey cooks up a storm (quite literally) with his signature native ingredients - great research, languid yet thrilling plotting and some incredible characters to go with.

A very exciting revisit

I read this book decades ago and remember finding it very exciting. Now listening to it so many years later, I was still intrigued and entertained. Many scenarios do not hold good now, but one can relate to them as a past experience. Arthur Hailey does not disappoint and the book has been read with perfect intonation

The level of detailing is impeccable

What an amazing narrative of the events at Lincoln Airport. This is my second book of Arthur Hailey and I'm turning into a huge fan. In some places, the descriptive nature of writing gets carried into a tangent, but overall it' builds a vivid picture of the stage, characters and situation as a whole. This could even be one of the best books to understand the aviation industry of 1960s. The rivetting fictional storyline gets you thoroughly involved while learning the factual details of the airport. Audible experience was brilliant.
