Terrified survivors fled to hidden mountain keeps where they eke out a meager existence. When a trio of young warriors discovers a new weapon, they see a chance to end this curse. The alien/human/predator war continues
The 2nd installment of the rage war continues to develop the various relationships between the allies as well as reveals more of the rage and their methods, and purpose. The story is well written and the tale has a lot of depth. I have a four on the story only because of the fact that if you have read the other alien and predator books that have been printed before you will see a very large difference in the level of action as well as the variance in strength and skill of the various species between this series and the other stories.

Book 2 alien invasion
This is a sequel to Predators incursion. I think it's a good second story. It gives the origin of the founders time in space for a hundred years. So check it out when you get a chance can't wait for the third story.

Not the Aliens and Predators we know
I have read the reviews for the series before buying the first two books so went in with an open mind. The first was middling and I took it as a buildup to the second. The second was good as a military sci-fi novel but lacks the feel of an Aliens novel. The Aliens are more like attack dogs than the sneaky nightmares with too many teeth that we have all grown to know and love. :) Tim Lebbon has written a number of great Alien novels but these do not count amongst them.

The Rage Are Coming!
Like a satellite in a decaying orbit I felt pulled back to this series despite my misgivings over the first book. I’m obviously more tuned in now because I really, really enjoyed this one. It’s classic space opera with much action and some truly macabre moments. The scene in the drainage tunnel of the Alien ship is particularly gut wrenching – you’ll know the one when you get to it! It’s scenes like that which capture some of the claustrophobic tension of the early Alien films and really raised this book up to a five star billing.
The misgivings that I mentioned reviewing the previous book didn’t completely go away but, and I have to admit this, they really didn’t stop me enjoying this one at all. The narration of the female characters seemed to pick up a little and now that I am more used to the role of the monsters I’m getting into it. The back story works well and the plot is very fast-moving with lots and lots of action.
Of course this is a series so we’re kept waiting for the conclusion until the final part. Don’t let that put you off, there is lots of action in this and the plot does develop at a cracking pace. There are a few new characters who add to the depth of the story and develop additional sub-plots of their own. We are left at the end with everything perfectly poised for a final cataclysmic war to decide humanity's fate.
So, despite my misgivings I think this is a cracker of a sci-fi action book and I shall certainly be completing this series!

I've gone through this three times just to ensure I wasn't being unfair. Terribly written, poorly narrated, disjointed, exhaustingly tiresome. I'm an alien fan, don't waste your hard earned money on this one.

Enthralling, and weaves the story around its characters like a web.
This is a long reaching involved story written by a writer who has mastered his craft.
The characters are well written and believable and the story so engaging I just lost myself in it. I got jumpy at every outside noise expecting a xenomorph to pop out of the shadows - now that's immersed!
