Dieses nach Nietzsche "tiefste Buch, das die Menschheit besitzt", nimmt vom ersten Moment an gefangen durch seine hymnische Sprache. Die Gedanken, eigentlich "Übergedanken", tanzen sich mit ihrem Rhythmus und ihrer Musikalität unmerklich in das Bewusstsein des Hörers hinein. Und was für Gedanken! – Gott ist tot – und damit die Idee von den Menschen, die alle gleich sind. Der Mensch, wie er heute ist, muss überwunden werden durch den "Übermenschen", der ein Schaffender und ein Wollender ist. Der neue Mensch ist ein sich selbst Liebender und ein vom Willen zur Macht über sich selbst Beseelter. Alles, was ist, war schon und wird sich unendlich oft wiederholen. Aber Zarathustra ist auch ein Resignierender – die Menschen verstehen seine Lehre (noch?) nicht - oder wollen sie sie (noch?) nicht verstehen? - oder kann er sich ihnen (noch?) nicht verständlich machen?
