Toward the Body of Being is a philosophical lecture series transcribed into written language, exploring being through the moving, sounding, remembering, and becoming body.

What happens to the body when it enters a new space? How does it learn to move when the movements it once carried no longer belong to the space in which it finds itself? Can sound become a form of embodiment? Can a body continue beyond its physical form, through memory, lineage, movement, and another body?

The book follows these questions through a continuous movement of thought in which the body is not only something physical, but also a field, a wave, a sound, a memory, and a space of becoming.

Music becomes one of the spaces through which the body discovers new movement. The body that has never possessed musicality may begin to form itself within a musical space. It learns to hold itself, much as an embryo first forms its own surrounding movement before entering the world. The body falls when it can no longer hold itself in its space; it rises when it begins to help itself as one would help a child.

Throughout the monologue, sound, movement, time, memory, lineage, perception, and corporeality become interconnected forms of being. What was once held by family, by another body, or by an external space may eventually become something the body holds within itself.

The book does not present these ideas as a finished philosophical system. It moves through them as spoken thought — returning, repeating, shifting, and becoming. The text was originally created as an oral philosophical lecture and preserves the rhythm and movement of speech.
