The Weston A. Price Foundation's Wise Traditions podcast is for those who seek optimal health grounded in traditional wisdom. We believe that vibrant health cannot be cultivated in a lab, engineered through modern technology or found by "improving" nature. On the contrary, "Life in all its fullness is Mother Nature obeyed," as Dr. Weston A. Price observed. By learning from healthy societies of the past, we can rediscover how to live healthier lives today. The Foundation's podcast is an invitation to explore traditional food and healthways that support true vitality. Host and producer Kendall Nelson interviews leading experts on a wide range of topics—ranging from preparing traditional foods, nutrient-dense diets, organ meats and animal fats to grass-based farming, natural detoxification, the power of sunshine and mitigating EMFs. Each episode offers listeners practical insights and timeless wisdom to help them heal, grow and live more vibrant, fulfilling lives.Copyright mju

  • 600: The Truth About Fluoride In Your Water With Michael Connett
    Oct 12 2026
Attorney Michael Connett has spent more than two decades investigating fluoride—and seven years battling the Environmental Protection Agency in federal court over the risks of adding it to drinking water. In this episode, he takes us inside the landmark case that resulted in a federal judge finding that water fluoridation poses an unreasonable risk to children's developing brains. Michael discusses research linking fluoride exposure during pregnancy with reduced IQ in children, the government report he says officials tried to prevent from being released, and how the court's decision helped propel efforts to end water fluoridation in Utah and Florida. He also explains where the fluoride added to drinking water comes from, why swallowing fluoride is not necessary for its purported dental benefits, and why he believes fluoridation raises serious questions about informed consent. We also explore research surrounding fluoride and bone health, the current status of Michael's case against the EPA, his new lawsuits involving children's fluoride products, and the prevalence of dental fluorosis among American children. Finally, Michael offers practical ways to reduce fluoride exposure and explains how ordinary citizens can get involved in efforts to end water fluoridation in their own communities. Sep 2 2019
Weight loss is often on the mind, even for those who "eat right." Today, Sally Fallon Morell, author, real food advocate, and the president of the Weston A. Price Foundation, offers ideas for how to best nourish ourselves to maintain a healthy weight and mind. As she reviews the summer Wise Traditions journal, Sally highlights topics such as the keto diet, coconut oil as a food to boost memory, and how to build up good bacteria in our bodies to fight infectious diseases. She also celebrates dietary traditions in the Ukraine--such as consuming organ meats and raw dairy--and looks at trends in the U.S. (particularly for how we nourish our children) that are troubling. • 202: What you don't know about ferments
    Aug 26 2019
Fermented foods are SO popular right now: from kimchi to kombucha to kraut to kefir. But do they live up to the hype? Why are they thought to be so good for us? Can you ever eat too much of them? What does die-off look like? Which are the best ones to incorporate into our diet? In front of a LIVE audience in Southern California, fermentation experts Monica Ford and Elaina Luther answer a wide variety of questions related to ferments. Monica is an ancestral cuisine chef, who launched Real Food Devotee, the first ancestral cuisine delivery service in the country. Elaina Luther is the founder of Culture Club 101, a "beyond organic" nourishing café, specialized grocery store, and community learning center. Together, with fun and flair, they explore the myths & little-known truths about ferments. How do they boost our health exactly? Which help to fight eczema? Which fight fungal infections? Is it true that eating ferments counterbalances the carcinogenic effects of grilled meats? And what's the deal with kombucha? Is there too much sugar in it for it to do us much good? Just when you thought you knew all there was to know about the subject, Monica and Elaina bring up some surprising revelations about these ancient, nearly magical foods.
