Sabbath School Lesson Summary on prophets in the New Testament: who were they, what does the gift of prophecy actually look like, and what does the Bible say about false prophets? In this concise, no-filler Bible study, Clive Nash, Gayl Fong and Rod Butler unpack the Sabbath School lesson for this week through Scripture.

Discover how every prophet pointed to Jesus, the Prophet Moses foretold in Deuteronomy 18, and how Jesus opened the Scriptures to His disciples on the road to Emmaus. The panel explores the difference between apostles and prophets, Paul’s defence of his apostleship, and how New Testament prophets edified, exhorted and comforted the church. You’ll also meet women prophets like Anna and Philip’s four daughters, see how Paul mentored young pastors like Timothy and Titus, and hear Jesus’ warnings about false prophets in Matthew 7 and Matthew 24.

Whether you’re preparing for class or leading a Bible study group, this interactive conversation gives you the key insights, Scripture references and discussion points you need to prepare for Sabbath, with fresh, practical application of the gift of prophecy for today.
