One line from The Sandlot can ruin your whole day in the best way: that moment when you realize the last time you hung out with certain people didn’t come with a warning label. We start there and let it spiral into “Nostalgia Bait” questions that pull real stories out of all of us, the funny ones, the tender ones, and the ones that quietly explain who we are now.

We talk about the routines that became traditions without anybody naming them, from holiday drives to look at Christmas lights to family gatherings that only feel sacred after someone is gone. The memories get specific fast: Blockbuster weekends, library swaps, Saturday morning cartoons, learning lyrics without a phone, and that childhood creativity that came from having to make a game out of nothing. We also keep it honest about adult life, work stress, bills, and mental health, including the weirdness of being forced into a therapy break and what anger looks like when it’s really exhaustion.

Food nostalgia shows up like it always does, top ramen habits, grandparents’ desserts, tuna casserole, salmon croquettes, and the hard truth that some dishes only taste “right” when the right person makes them. Then we zoom out to parenting in 2025: kids raised by technology, the internet widening their lens, gratitude getting complicated, and how we’re all basically parenting against YouTube. We close with the Memory Bag game, guessing whose childhood moment is whose, and why telling these stories out loud keeps the people and eras we miss from disappearing.
