2-Time World Champion. Silver Medallist at the 2025 Trofeo Sofia World Cup. Italy's one and only Emma Mattivi seems to have done it all!
In this first episode, the professional ILCA 6 sailor discusses the launch of her Olympic campaign for LA 2028. From her early days on Lake Garda to the podium of a senior World Cup, Emma shares the realities of stepping up to the highest level of international sailing.
In this episode, we cover:
- An unexpected origin: How a summer camp transformed into a lifelong Olympic pursuit for someone with no family history in the sport.
- The youth-to-senior leap: The wake-up call of facing the senior fleet and how it expanded her ultimate ambitions.
- Medal-winning intuition: Trusting her gut and finding the perfect headspace to secure silver at the Trofeo Princesa Sofía.
- Overcoming setbacks: Navigating a severe mid-season back injury and the mental toll of watching competitors advance while grounded.
