Story
Neecy Lawrence, winged warrior for a Viking goddess and second-in-command of the fierce Crows, doesn't know what to do with a nice guy. As it is, making up for a past she'd sooner forget leaves her barely polite most days. But Raven leader and loyal Odin warrior, Will Yager, isn't just nice. He's gorgeous, hot, and a distraction she simply can't afford. Yager has wanted Neecy in his life - and in his bed - for a long time. Not just for a night, but forever. And, like any self-respecting Viking, he'll stop at nothing to get her.

Story
It's not always easy being a female warrior with a nickname like Annwyl the Bloody. Men tend to either cower in fear-a lot-or else salute. It's true that Annwyl has a knack for decapitating legions of her ruthless brother's soldiers without pausing for breath. But just once it would be nice to be able to really talk to a man - the way she can talk to Fearghus the Destroyer. Too bad that Fearghus is a dragon, of the large, scaly, and deadly type.

Loved it!
I absolutely love Shelly Laurenston! She’s one of my favorite authors! I think this book might be one of my favs. I’ve always loved Max’s character, so I figured I would really enjoy her book. The book had so many funny moments and it was also really sweet how Max had Za’s back and helped him adapt. Also how I like how she developed their relationship in the book, the pace of it was nice. It was also interesting to see how her sisters developed in this book, specifically Charlie. My one con is that I still wasn’t completely sure why Mari hated Max so much so I would’ve liked to learn that. This book is a definite read of your a Laurenston fan,

Badgering LOL
This story is a wonderful ending to the trilogy of the unfortunate daughters of the most f*ck up Badger in history. Without giving away spoilers I can only say that there were some inconsistencies between the back story given to Max for this book that don't exactly agree with the back stories developed for the three girls in the other books in the series.
I happen to think that the changes in the back story make Max a more well rounded character so I question the need to subtract a whole star 🌟
so I really only want to subtract 1/2 a star. My reason for the 1/2 star deduction is because those times when SL was attempting to smooth away those inconsistencies in the story were not up to her normal eloquence.
Of course this storyline had unexpected plot twist that has let it be known that we were not done seeing/reading about our favorite three badger sisters in future.

Loved listening to this in audible.
Narrator did well and was good as there was a lot of voices to deal with but not fantastic. Just so enjoyable and quite a few laugh out loud moments that had my husband looking at me strangely. BOOK REVIEW Yes, I had some wonderful laugh out loud moments reading this, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride right till the end but I just felt it missed the mark by a small margin. There is supposed to be a romance between Max, the third sister and Zeze, a cat who didn’t know he was a cat. What we didn’t get was a romance. What happens between Ze and Max was just pitifully poor. No sparks, no heat and just no connection. That will not stop me getting the audible version though. Though I did thoroughly enjoy this story and appreciated how well everything came together in the first half, the second half, though entertaining to the end, just lacked romance and connection between Max and Ze. A twist at the end I didn’t see coming, one or two problems dealt with, unfortunately Freddie was not one of them and new characters to be written about. You really cannot appreciate this book as a standalone. There are too many pop in characters that will mean nothing, if you have not first read the Pride series to understand some of the other characters and the then the two previous books in the Honey Badger series.

Max "Kill It Again" MacKilligan
I love shifter books, and I always look forward to this author's new releases. Badger to the Bone was exactly what I was expecting - fun to read and listen to, filled with crazy characters, Max...... and where there's Max violence is sure to follow. She is one tough honey badger shifter willing to dish out retribution to whoever deserves it. Or maybe just because she's in the mood and she loves messing with people's heads.
Badger to the Bone has so many secondary characters from this authors previous books - so there are a lot of characters to keep track of for someone maybe not so familiar with her other books. Having read them all, I love seeing all these characters pop up through the storyline. Overall the storyline is very light from the romance angle, but Ze' adds a lot of amusement to the storyline with his personality and mannerisms ( I love how he messes with Dutch ). Charlie is still my favourite character of the 3 sisters, but all 3 books in The Honey Badger Chronicles are really good.
Charlotte Kane, I have loved listening to her narrate books 2 & 3 of this series - I really enjoy listening to her, she performs all of the characters really well. 5/5 for her performance!!
