Story
He's arrogant. She's self-righteous. I hate him. I want her. I've been turning him down for two years straight. Every shutdown makes me work harder. I'm not a one-night stand kind of girl. She doesn't realize I won't settle for only one night. He's a distraction I don't need. She'll say yes eventually because I'm not giving up.

Story
Look, but don't touch.... She might as well wear a neon sign that says it. It just makes me want her more. She might be above me in every way, but I still want her under me. I've got no business touching her rich-girl skin, but that won't stop me from stealing a taste. Because rules were meant to be broken - especially when the prize is so fine. In a world where nothing is as it seems, what's buried beneath these lies?

Story
I'm the guy you love to hate. In every story in my life, I seem to end up playing the villain - and I've got the scars to prove it. That role works fine for me, because I'm sure as hell not anyone's hero. I run my life and my empire with an iron fist - until she knocks my tightly controlled world off its axis. She's nobody's damsel in distress, but I can't help but want to save her anyway. I guess we're about to find out if there's a hero buried...beneath these scars.

The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients. I drift from city to city, in and out of beds, from one tattoo shop to the next. Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up. Until New Orleans. Until her. She's everything I'm not. Full of fire and life. An innocent where I'm a sinner. I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her. But first I have to escape from beneath these shadows.

It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought, until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch to. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man who crouched down and looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive was none other than my ex.

Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn't know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she's home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there's no ring on her finger. Publisher's Summary
From USA Today best-selling author Meghan March comes the final sexy stand-alone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans.
I used to believe there were lines in life you don't cross. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. Until I learned people don't always practice what they preach.
I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything. Then I got the call no one wants, and I'm back in New Orleans.
What I don't expect is for her to be here, too. Another line you don't cross? Don't touch your best friend's little sister. She's always been off-limits.
Too bad I don't follow the rules anymore.
May absolutely be listened to as a stand-alone!

AND IT'S ANOTHER TRIUMPHANT HOME RUN FOR Ms MARCH
If you're already a fan of this awesome series then you really don't need to read any of the glowing reviews.. because you've ALREADY found out what an awesome and talented Author Meghan March is. You've ALREADY been wowed by her detailed dual POV storylines that mix truly epic romances with angst, drama, danger, sex, passion, turmoil, twists and suspense. You've ALREADY drooled over her sexy damaged bad boys who have all found strong loving heroines who bring out their brooding alpha possessive side. You've ALREADY loved and hated her secondary characters who throw spanners or lifelines into her intricately woven works. And you've ALREADY experienced Sebastian and Andi's excellent narration that brought each one of the books in this series to life, added all the necessary emotional feels with every single word they uttered.. and, thanks to their skilled narration, I'm sure you'll all agree that this series is one to enjoy over and over again.
However, if you haven't yet listened to any of Meghan March's multi-layered riveting books in the Beneath series, then you're in for an awesome ride. They're all unique standalones that can be listened to out of order - yet interconnect with family/friends. But I wouldn't suggest starting with this one.. Ariel and Rhett's addictive and intense story is great - but this last book in the series has all the happy couples uniting, wrapping up and reaffirming their love in a very memorable and touching way.
Worth a credit? I think you know what I'm gonna say.. it starts with a Y and ends in S.

Solved, mystery = Pain of the truth
**No Spoilers*** I could not wait for Rhett's story Yet, I waited to listen to this book in order to savor the suspense since I knew this was probably the last book in the Beneath series. I will say the unveiling of Beneath the truth did not disappoint. Lots of shockers come out of Hennesay's story. He has been one of my favorite characters in this series. Even though I don't want to give too much away, this book almost felt more like a crime novel than a romance novel. The romance between Rhett and Ari seem like a bit of an after thought to the plot as compared to the other books in the series. The heat lever is quite a bit lower. The love scenes seem rushed and almost feel like they were interfering with the story. Kind of like an action movie that throws in a love scene to try to get some female audience to the movie theater. Still, this was a great book, but I was a bit disappointed in the romance level in this book. I just did not feel as much passion in this story, as with the other books. Even the way Rhett and Ari finally say, I love you is so unemotional and a bit boring. It made me feel like they were an old married couple who have been married for 30 years who did not need to hear those 3 little words anymore. I have seen several romance authors start to get light on the romance and heavier on the back story, pushing their books into another genre. I hope this is not the case with Meghan's future books. the epilogue was fantastic because she wrap up all the other characters reminding the readers of their love story. I defiantly feel that Meghan March is definately bouncing this book into a much darker series with her upcoming book. I only hope she is able to keep the heat volume up for her true romance fans. Since the story was super gripping, and the performance was a 5, I had to give it 5 stars. As far as the love, sex and passion in this book, I would have to only give it a 3.5. This is not a stand alone, you really need to read this book in the order of the series to fully appreciate the characters and the plot.

I can't believe it's over :( This will always be my favorite Meghan March series because it was my first. I don't want this to be the last one !
I was really excited for Hennessy's book and it was better than I could have ever expected! This book has so much to it! Of course it has love and hot sex but this one has a lot of action and twists and turns.
Hennessy shows off his good guy values while also being a sexy badass. Although I think he will always be a cop at heart! Ari is an amazing character and the perfect heroine for Hennessy. She is a brilliant geeky girl that is bad ass! I loved that so much! She didn't hide it, she did try to be something else, she was just who she was! Great way to end the series and that epilogue was awesome, I loved all the closure <3
Narration was great of course!

Last Book of the Beneath Series was okay!
I Loved this Beneath Series, All of them were 4 and 5 stars. The Narration was wonderful except when Sebastian tried to do the Cajun accent. I just started laughing he was so bad at it. Andi Arndt is a ten star narrator always.
This last book of this series was okay. It didn’t knock it out of the park. Many of these books in this series were so good and better than this one.
I have to say I’m falling away from Meghan March a little everytime I read her latest books.
They are all the same with a little bit of a different background. Also they get a little more freakish with her sex-a-pades.
I really don’t like her short books and paying a full credit price as she splits a book in 3 or 4 parts. They are not worth it. I feel she is taking advantage of her readers as she is constantly splitting all these books up now.
The Beneath Series was worth a credit for each book and the stories are good and a decent length.
I like the New Orleans location and all that went with it.

Amazing ending to a GREAT series!
Seriously amazing book! I was sad that this is the last book in the series but Meghan March KILLED IT! The twists and the turns this story blew my mind and I was on the edge of my seat! I loved the sweetness and the passion between Ariel and Rhett. I loved they were old enough and no one else mattered enough anymore to keep them from moving their friendship to more. This story was sweet, sexy, bittersweet, sad, crazy but oh-so-good! This was also a great ending to the series. I loved every minute of this book and I can't recommend it enough! Do you like your women strong and your heroes alpha? Then jump on it!

Perfect ending to a good series that has held me
York and Arndt has done a great job throughout this series to give vice, cadence, character, richness, tone and so much more to each charactet.
This last installment gives you more of it all and allows for you to see more. The ending of this series let you love each couple, story, and future for them all.

This can't be the end, can it?
Would you listen to Beneath the Truth again? Why?
The performance is key in an audiobook, the story follows; this series has been the best across the board for me. I have listened to several, and the characters in this series really hit home with their sex appeal and overall realism.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Protagonists, clearly.
What does Andi Arndt and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
They bring the characters to life, which is not the case for all voice actors. You can hear the passion in their voice and feel the characters through them.
Any additional comments?
I'm sure there is another character that has not been written about in this series? It would be a shame not to reach the tenth book. I think that March could pull it off. This series was the only one I have truly been devoted to.
Suggestions:
Book 4 - the brother who goes away for a year
Book 5 - Valentina's shop assistant
Book 5 - Valentina's parents - perhaps a novel incorporating the past with the present

I have been a fan of the beneth series but for some reason I did not really enjoy this book , Rhett Hennersey features all through the series so thought this would be a great listen not really sure why I didn't enjoy I just could not engage with the two main characters ... the best part was the end when you get to hear what happened to previous characters, I will also look forward to meeting Mount in his upcoming trilogy I guess it's going to be a good listen fingers crossed .
I am sure to be in the minority in my review but I am not criticising its just not for me and the Seb and Andi narration was also great as per usual .

This is the last book in the Beneath series, and for that reason alone, I'm devastated. I've loved every book in this series, and Beneath the Truth is no exception. Rhett is an ex police officer turned PI who became disillusioned with the force when his brother was killed and his dad was accused of been dirty. Leaving his hometown of New Orleans, he had no intention of returning anytime soon, until a pin unexpected phone call lures him back. Plunged into a world of deceit, lies and way too many coincidences this book had me hooked. Rhett was just perfect, (what you see is what you get), hot, sexy, no holds barred alpha. Add into the mix his best friends little sister and and I'm surprised the book didn't set alight it was so hot. I loved Ariel’s character, self made CEO and hacker extraordinaire, ex geek who has always been in love with her brothers best friend. Having no idea who the enemy was and trying to piece together all the information whilst protecting Ariel, Rhett has his hands full. With added twists and turns and lots of sexy time, we have a firm favourite in the Beneath series.
As usual Andi Arndt and Sebastian York nail it, an audio match made in heaven.

Wow
Wow, Meghan has done it again. What a way to end the series. This book had me holding my breath as to how it was going to play out. The epilogue is an awesome way to end the series too. Well done Meghan.
Andi and Sebastian have also done a great job at narration. Wish there was more stars.

Action drama adult romance
Not as plausible as MM's last 2 books. I think this story stepped over the line for me and not in a good way...it was alot like the movie The Counsellor with Matthew McConaghy
Do i want to think about sex after throwing up with terror ...NOT REALLY MS MARCH

Excellent & Attention Catching
The whole Beneath series had grabbed my attention from the beginning with the fist; Beneath This Mask. I couldn't stop listening to the whole series as I went about my days. The characters are bubbly, complex and interesting, fierce and lovable. The characters life stories & book storylines made it extremely hard for me stop listening. The Narrators are excellent and make the stories easy to comprehend and I found I would loose myself in the storylines. Now I have finished the series I will be listening from the beginning all over again.
I was glad the epilogue gave an update on all the characters in this final book.

What a great way to finish the beneath series! I love how all the characters are so entwined throughout and the closing epilogue just made the icing on the cake.
