 मनुष्य की मृत्यु केवल शारीरिक है, आत्मिक नहीं; मनुष्य केवल शरीर नहीं है। बल्कि आत्मा और ईश्वर का अंश है; अतः उसको सांसारिक मोह-माया के बन्धन तोड़कर और सब प्रकार की कामनाओं और वासनाओं से मुक्त होकर उस उच्चता की ओर बढ़ना चाहिए, जिसमें कहीं किसी के साथ किसी प्रकार के संघर्ष का नाम भी नहीं है। भौतिक तथा शारीरिक दृष्टि से तुच्छ होने पर भी आत्मिक बल से मनुष्य अत्यन्त उच्च स्तर तक पहुँच सकता है। आत्मा भिन्न-भिन्न रूपों या शरीरों में, भिन्न-भिन्न ग्रह-नक्षत्रों तथा लोकों में न जाने कितने चक्कर लगाती रहती है; और हर जगह न जाने कितने प्रकार की गृहस्थियाँ रचती रहती है। जब तक वह स्थूल तत्वों की ओर प्रवृत्त रहती है तब तक उन्हीं के बन्धनों में बँधी रहकर चारों तरफ भटकता फिरती है। पर जब वह स्थल से परावृत होकर सूक्ष्म होने लगती है, तब वह ऊपर उठने लगती है। ज्यों-ज्यों वह सक्ष्म होती जाती है, त्यों-त्यों उन्नत भी होती जाती है; और ज्यों-ज्यों वह उन्नत होती जाती है, त्यों-त्यों परमात्मा के निकट भी पहुँचती जाती है-उसके समान सूक्ष्म भी होती जाती है। इसीलिए प्रायः सब धर्मों में परमात्मा के साथ आत्मा के मिलन पर इतना जोर दिया जाता है; और इसकी युक्तियाँ तथा साधन बतलाये जाते हैं।©2021 Storyside IN (P)2021 Storyside IN
