Publisher's Summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Jenny Lawson comes her most personal book yet.

As Jenny Lawson’s hundreds of thousands of fans know, she suffers from depression. In Broken, she explores her experimental treatment of transcranial magnetic stimulation with brutal honesty. But also with brutal humour. Jenny discusses the frustration of dealing with her insurance company in ‘An Open Letter to My Insurance Company’, which should be an anthem for anyone who has ever had to call their insurance company to try and get a claim covered. She tackles such timelessly debated questions as ‘How do dogs know they have penises?’ We see how her vacuum cleaner almost set her house on fire, how she was attacked by three bears, business ideas she wants to pitch to Shark Tank and why she can never go back to the post office. Of course, Jenny’s long-suffering husband Victor, the Ricky to Jenny’s Lucille Ball, is present throughout.

A treat for Jenny Lawson’s already existing fans and destined to convert new ones, Broken is a beacon of hope and a wellspring of laughter.

great

Okay ..so its a good read..broken by jenny lawson....i never read her books... because its so fun to listen to her...so its always audiobook...if its her book...
This book is same like all her books.... original...true...stupid..crazy..honest...
Sometimes way too funny..
Sometimes way too serious..
It jumps from one side to another side all the time...like life...
Like the way things happen in reality...
It gets messy sometimes...but its still beautiful...
Its good to see some great improvements in her..with her health...she gives hope to millions of people fighting mental health issues....
Waiting for her next book....
One of my fav writers...

Funny, honest, sad, haunting and so very brave

A laugh out loud book at times, at others you can feel the depths of the difficulties Jenny has faced. She is one of my favourite people I have never met. She’s someone I’d love to not hang out with (because we’re both too introverted). The book is well worth a listen, she’s narrated it too, which I think brings more meaning and life to the already awesome stories.

Iconic

Jenny Lawson can make me laugh and cry all in the span of 30 minutes. This book is a work of art. There are no words that can do it justice. Just listen.
