Another great tale for Cassie Raven

A.K Turner strikes again with another twisty post mortem tale. I'm really loving Cassie Raven especially in this installment, the book made me fall in love with Cassie as it shows her struggling and not so much of a know it all...This book definitely delves a little further into the characters and keeps you hooked into what will happen next. The narrator was brilliant once again, cannot fault it. Hope I don't wait to long for the next one!

The best yet

Turner’s writing style immerses you in the actual feelings Cassie (main protagonist) is experiencing through the first third of the book. Discombobulated would be the perfect description. How she does that, whilst carrying through the impetus of the story through the other key players is testament to her writing prowess.

Although I had correctly figured the “perp” (my homage to LL) very early, the actual conclusion smashed my working theory (homage to DCI S) to pieces. Completely blindsided, I felt even more exhilarated by the undertone of the effects of banter within the emergency services.

Having fallen foul to this myself, and the way the toxic culture has now been weaponised as a means to destroy the lives of others, whether involved in the culture or not, I could empathise with Phyllida, Cassie, the victims and the perpetrators.

This series has been my highlight of 2023 and this book the best so far.

AK Turner, it is not time to put this series to pasture yet!

Excellent

I’ve been waiting for this to be released for so long and I enjoyed it just as much as the previous Cassie Raven books. I’m not usually one for series but am getting quite invested in both Cassie and Flyte! Can’t wait for the next one!

Captivating, intriquing and a great listen

This is the 3rd in the series, I have listened to the 1st two books and was eagerly awaiting this one. It certainly did not disappoint in any fashion. Like the 1st two books this one draws you in from the very beginning. You really become so eager to hear how the two main characters will progress, what will happen. I also love the orator of these books, she has remained the same for all three books. If you seek a great listen, one which captivates and intriques throughout would highly recommend this book. I now want a 4th in the series. She has a winning formula with the characters and the plot. Excellent.

Great series, another good tale

I really love this series and the characters, book 3 was a good character development and I enjoyed it. Can we have more of Cassie using her gift in the next one though please?
Keep going, I rarely remember characters and storylines of spread out series but this one I recalled the characters and previous storylines easily. Recommended

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Brilliant book. It's lovely to read something different. I love Cassie the name character and how ballsey but vulnerable too.
This series of books is one of my favourites. I hope there will be more!
