Chanakya was the royal advisor to the first emperor of Maurya Dynasty, Chandragupta Maurya. He was a teacher, philosopher, economist and a master strategist. He is also known as Kautilya, who wrote the famous Sanskrit text, Arthashashtra, an ancient Indian text on statecraft, economic policy and military strategy.
