The storyline wasn't magical enough.
The ending did not sound convincing. Seem to be forced like the author lost the interest and just wanted to finish.

The performances were really good though. Perhaps I stuck to listening to the audio book just because of the performances by both Amy Rubinate, R.C. Bray.
