About this listen

A CD edition of this popular Christie mystery. Read by Hugh Fraser, Captain Hastings in the popular TV series.

The house guests at Styles seemed perfectly pleasant to Captain Hastings; there was his own daughter Judith, an inoffensive ornithologist called Norton, dashing Mr Allerton, brittle Miss Cole, Doctor Franklin and his fragile wife Barbara , Nurse Craven, Colonel Luttrell and his charming wife, Daisy, and the charismatic Boyd-Carrington.

So Hastings was shocked to learn from Hercule Poirot’s declaration that one of them was a five-times murderer. True, the ageing detective was crippled with arthritis, but had his deductive instincts finally deserted him?…

Very different plotline than other Agatha Christie books. Loved it. One of the best mystery books I have ever read.

oh my god. I could not have imagined an end more perfect for the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Curtain certainly lives upto its reputation and delivers. I still have goosebumps.

Stunning masterpiece

I read Curtain many years ago. Almost 25. I remember loving it then. And when I heard the podcast on audible, I loved it even more. Poirot's frailty is so beautifully captured by Christie and Hugh Fraser that I wonder whether it was autobiographical for them. Hastings, the ever loyal assistant also battles his own demons. This book has truly been an eye opener... err a ear opener of sorts. A must listen.
