Weihnachten auf der Insel Föhr.

Pastorin Carola leitet im Friesendom die Chorprobe für Heiligabend. Alle sind voller Vorfreude aufs Fest, nur sie nicht. Denn nach der Christmette wird sie wieder allein zu Hause sitzen. Noch ist aber Vorweihnachtszeit, und es gibt eine Menge zu tun: Als "rasender Engel" fährt sie mit ihrem Motorboot auf die Hallig Langeneß, um dort eine Andacht zu halten. Der sympathische Organist Torin Hansen bittet sie anschließend um einen Gefallen: Seiner Urgroßmutter geht es gesundheitlich so schlecht, dass sie Weihnachten wahrscheinlich nicht erleben wird. Ob Carola mit der Familie den Heiligabend vorziehen könne? Bald überschlagen sich die Ereignisse, und die Möglichkeit eines Single-Heiligabends in der kleinen Inselbuchhandlung zeichnet sich ab...
