Publisher's Summary
Returning early from a disastrous date night with my husband, I know something is wrong the moment the wheels crunch the gravel drive of our home. Inside, the TV is on and a half-eaten meal waits on the table. My heart stops when I find our little girl is alone in the house and our babysitter, Sasha, is missing....
Days later, when I’m arrested for Sasha’s murder and torn away from my perfect little family, I’ll wish I had told someone about the threatening note I received that morning.
I’ll hate myself for not finding out who the gift hidden inside my husband’s wardrobe was for.
I’ll scream from the rooftops that I’m innocent - but no one will listen.
I will realise I was completely wrong about everything that happened that night....
But will you believe me?
Twisted and absolutely unputdownable, Date Night exposes what goes on behind the closed doors of a happy home and the dangerous truths we ignore to protect the ones we love. Perfect reading for anyone totally gripped by The Wife Between Us, Friend Request or Gone Girl.

Dragged on for Too Long
Interesting storyline, however, it dragged on for too long and sometimes it was pretty boring. The only reason why I kept listening was to find out who committed the crime. I liked the narrator and she made it bearable many times.

Boring
NO SPOILERS! I had to replay parts over and over because I would zone out. This book was just boring. The main character is an airhead and the plot was poorly developed. The ending was dumb and I want all the time back that I wasted on this book.

Not sure why the bad reviews, this book kept my interest all the way through. Only negative was the ending seemed to be rushed and chopped off and I was left with many questions. Narrator was great!

Don’t bother
Characters were unbelievable and annoying-yet another pathetic female lead. The whole story was disjointed, I read to the end Incase this was some clever ploy and everything would come together but unfortunately the end was just as disappointing as the rest of the book.

Dire
I really struggled with this book. Overly descriptive it felt at some points that I was listening to a cookery book. Insipid characters with an off the wall ending that came out of nowhere.
Narrator did her best, but unfortunately for me this book was a massive disappointment.

Can you say "convoluted"?
All right, I understand that authors can sometimes force twists into a story to surprise the reader later on, but really...
As is the style these days, the book flips back and forth in time. However, each time we go back the author gives us some vague scene that tries to mislead us, even if we think we can figure out what the scene was, which is not easy here. Then later we go back to the same scene again and the author gives us some more information that seems to contradict what she told us before or at least tries to lead us again in a different wrong direction.

So disappointed! Insipid narration lost the will
To live! Had to return I couldn’t bear the drone. Over described detail made for a long winded drawn out nothingness. Really enjoyed her last book. Maybe I would have been more interested and invested with another narrator but I’m not so sure ... will see what her next book is like before I give up on Miss Hayes.

A good listen
I enjoyed this book and loved the way the story kept me guessing . As ever the narrator is crucial in relating the story and I thought this narrator was very good at distinguishing between the voices male and female . My only slight irritation was how the child is voiced . Too simpering and lispy . More how people think a child speaks rather than reality . But I find this in a lot of audiobooks . Overall would recommend.

Disappointing
With a weak storyline and shallow characters this book didn’t stand a chance with the poor narration. The reader has an annoying voice without any depth and can’t pronounce any word beginning with R so ‘weally’ hard to listen to. When she changed character the voices became very silly. I couldn’t finish the book it was like listening to a playschool presenter reading Goldilocks and the three bears...
