Publisher's Summary
An Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal best seller
A missing woman leads the alpha heroes on their boldest mission yet in New York Times best-selling author Susan Stoker’s searing Mountain Mercenaries novel.
It’s been 10 years since Rex’s wife, Raven, disappeared from a Vegas casino. Never losing hope, he even formed the Mountain Mercenaries to help find her - and other missing wives, sisters, and children. Now Rex and his fearless team are following a lead to Lima, Peru, where the rescue operation is greater than they imagined.
A day at a time. That’s been Raven’s motto for a decade. Once held captive by an elusive sex trafficker, she has an indomitable will to survive. But Raven’s not ready to leave Peru. She can’t. Not yet. Because her liberation from the barrios comes with devastating consequences. One wrong move and all hope will be lost to an unimaginable hell.
For the Mountain Mercenaries, the stakes have been raised. The threats are escalating. But Rex hasn’t searched this long, risked so much, and come this far to lose Raven all over again.

Awesome!!!!
I love all Stoker books but of the books that have come out since Shelter for Penelope this is my favorite. Holy smokes. Without giving too much away, it is slightly different with so much of the book taking place away from home and the road to togetherness isn’t smooth at all despite finding each other early on but soo worth the rough ride. I always hate when a series ends but this was a great series finisher letting us in on years later for Raven & Dave but also clueing in to the fact that the other mercenaries and families are thriving. Well done!!! Loved it. When I started this series this book was not listed as coming soon so I wasn’t sure we’d get Rex’s story. I’m SO glad we did!

Great ending to this series!
I have been looking forward to this book since the preview at the end of ‘Zara’...and was not disappointed!! Lots of bad guys and drama but the Mountain Mercenaries came through in the end and Rex/Dave finally got his wife back! The extended epilogue put a neat bow on the series. Narrator’s work on all of the characters helped to make this a series ending to remember.

It has its ups and downs...
Overall, I enjoyed listening to this series. Stoker is a good writer and Bloom is a good voice actress. However... there are definitely cringeworthy moments. At times, there are things that the Mountain Mercenaries do or don't do where the listener is like... wait... what?! no... that was dumb as heck and if it was real life everything would fail because off that... yet nothing bad happens. Or moments like... ok the MM rescue women from trafficking... do they normally just rescue one and ask nothing/do nothing about the other women in the room?!
Anyway... if you can get through those moments... its enjoyable.

Perfect.
This Mountain Mercenaries series has been wonderful from the start. Each new book seemed to replace the previous one as my favorite as they just kept getting better. But Holy Llama Mama Drama, this one burned down the house.
What a way to end a stellar series--it simply doesn't get any better than this in my opinion. The man who searched for his kidnapped wife for 10 years, who never gave up hope, who was so inspired he created a team that helped countless others in the process, finally gets the lead he's been waiting on. Rex has shown himself, and he's going after Raven.
I love that this was not a simple caveman "snatch and grab." Rex has some high mountains to climb. But if there's ever been anyone willing to prove his love and be patient and gentle while doing it, it's this guy. *5 star swooning*
If you're new to this series, it is possible, but not recommended to read this as a stand-alone. If you simply can't wait to go through the entire series, at the very least I would recommend that you first read book 6, "Defending Zara" to set this story up first. But the best enjoyment will be found if you've read the entire series to understand the different characters and the nuances of their individual stories.

A great finish
This book is a fantastic finish to the Mountain Mercenary series. We finally get to the bottom of Rex's story and what happened to his wife. I love how it all tied together with Defending Zara, it was just so well written and it was great to see all of the men come together for one last rescue.

Great series finale!
Great series finale! I started with Meat and Zara and ended with Dave and Raven. Wonderful book! I was cheering for her strength and character. Dave is one hello if a loyal, driven man in love with his wife. He would do anything... And Raven’s secret?! Perfect. Tragic and traumatic, but perfect. The human mind snd body can overcome so much and I loved these characters!

A Great Ending to the Mountain Mercenaries series!
I have been waiting for Rex’s book for a while now and it didn’t disappoint, this was by far my favorite! Not much had been given away about Rex in the previous books, just that his wife went missing 10 years before and he spent all his time trying to find her and other missing people. I was incredibly curious about the robotic voice behind all the Mountain Mercenaries missions and once I found out his real identity, man I loved him! I loved how once his wife went missing, he stopped at nothing to find her… he never gave up or moved on during the 10 years she was missing, heck he formed his own military team to specifically search and rescue missing women and children. All the women in the Mountain Mercenaries series are bad a$$, but Raven is by far my favorite and the fiercest warrior. After listening to what she was put through (in milder terms… Susan Stoker doesn’t go into explicit dark details) and continued to sacrifice for those she loves, it was really awe inspiring. I am a vengeful person so I really wanted everyone to pay dearly so unfortunately we don’t get a huge shoot out at the end where all the bad guys die, but Susan Stoker added some great epilogues that really ended the story perfectly for Rex and the Mountain Mercenaries! There was a mention of Rex calling a ‘tow’ company in Indiana in an epilogue and now I am curious if that will be a future series or if it is one I already missed, I need to scour through her previous book and find if there is a series about them!
Stella Bloom did another amazing job narrating the final book of the Mountain Mercenaries series, she really brought all the characters to life and made me invested in the outcome of each book!

Great ending to the series!
What a great way to end the series! It ended with how it begun. The absolute determination of the hero to find and save his wife. He dedicated years and I have no doubt he never would have given up no matter how much longer it could have taken. I’ve really enjoyed this series as a whole and would highly recommend the audiobooks if you enjoy them. The narrators for each book did a fantastic job.

Loved
I enjoy listening to Stella Bloom,
This is the final book in the series of Mountain Mercenaries. Have to say I loved this series.
This is the story of Dave and Raven ..... It will make you want to scream at what could happen and cry with the joy of out come.
Raven was kidnapped and not heard for 10 years. Dave never gave up hope . With the help of her Mountain Mercenaries he finds and brings home his one love.. oh they have problems to over come.
I love how Susan Stoker also lets us know what happens to the other team mates and their women.
Perfect book to end on for this brilliant series.

fitting end to this series
wow, now this was an 80% ops story and it was awesome to have the team and other familiar characters in play.
again the best in this series i felt was book 1 and this one runs a close 2nd.
Stella was awesome as usual.
I felt it dragged a bit here and there but I have to remember that it's Ms Stoker's style to give you all POVs which gives you all the details in play.
it was a pretty horrendous topic and ravens story was gut wrenching but in typical hero and romance fashion, she pulled through.
I must say though, David's finals speech was a bit of a shock.....no spoilers....I was just surprised it was written in...
