About this listen

Stories can be both entertaining and educative. They can also be insightful and illuminating, especially when they have travelled down the generations, through the centuries, taking on and eliding new meanings with each retelling. In this genre-bending book, the first of a series, Amish and Bhavna dive into the priceless treasure trove of the ancient Indian epics, as well as the vast and complex universe of Amish's Meluha (through his Shiva Trilogy and Ram Chandra Series), to explore some of the key concepts of Indian philosophy.

What is the ideal interplay between thought and action, taking and giving, self-love and sacrifice? How can we tell right from wrong? What can we do to bring out the best in ourselves, and to live a life with purpose and meaning, not just one fuelled by the ego and material needs? The answers lie in these simple and wise interpretations of our favourite stories by a lovable cast of fictional characters who you'll enjoy getting to know.

excellent book.... easy to read ; one can finish it in single seating but to digest what's written ...sit back, read one dialogue and you will be indulged into self thoughts and conclusions....!! loved the book... Amishji you are wonderful ❤️

Book with depth!!!!

It was an interesting audiobook that spoke extensively about Dharma using Amish Tripoli's previous novels. It is interesting how the story is spoken between a family where they raise their POV.I had to rewind and listen to few chapters again because they were many things I felt I need to ponder upon. Lovely book with profound insights .
The narrator Kanchan Wadi has done an excellent job which has added more life and depth to the characters .Listening to her lovely voice and narrating with clarity helped in engaging the book

A must listen for people who love myths , politics and self -help !!!!

Nice comparisons of characters and values

the story tries to find differences and similarities of characters across Ramayana and Mahabharata... and some times even other mythologies. it was great experience listening to this

Diligence and Ignorance (two takeaways)

A good read after you have finished reading Amish conventional books as you will know the characters better.

Not Amish’s Standard

I waited for that magic of Amish throughout the book and it happened only when it ended. One star for effort on book by author and one star for effort put on narration. Nothing much to talk about the book. This book is just to promote his previous books.
