Publisher's Summary
At 35, Gina Bourque is still playing the field. If he’s single, in his early 20s with dark hair and brooding eyes, there’s a damn good chance you’ll find him in her little black book.
Jeffrey Ryan never imagined that at nearly 40 he’d find himself widowed and a single dad. But here he is - stumbling through this thing called life with two impressionable daughters watching his every move.
When Gina and Jeffrey meet while cruising the Caribbean, sparks fly - but not in a good way. He’s too old. Too blond. Too stiff. Yet she’s still drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She’s too vulgar. Too sassy. Too wild. But she ignites something inside of him he can’t ignore.
We all know what happens when you play with fire...someone’s bound to get burned.

LOL funny - I'll listen again
This book had me laughing out loud - the zip lining, the projectile vomit, and the rapey dolphin, OMG I couldn't hold it in. And that was just in the beginning of the book. Gina's character is pretty out there, a sex therapist who can't have kids goes on vacation with her BFF's kids and meets Widower Jeff, a bit more uptight, and a lot lonely.
Seriously the humor is great, Joe Arden is always funny. And being a widower, there's some other emotions at times, and yes you feel those too. The kids were great characters and part of the story not just a device to get rid of to get these two together, really becoming a family.
This is one I'll listen to more than once, especially when I need a good laugh.

Louisiana without the clichéd stereotype;)
I love the fact that Heather adds bits & pieces of Louisiana without it being cliche. If you aren’t from Louisiana do your self a favor and listen to some of the local musicians she mentions;)
Gah! My heart just about broke for Jeff & the girls. I can’t imagine trying to move past a loss so profound. But kids are resilient and they will shoe us they way. Especially when they have their sites on the perfect bonus mom for them🥰

Another win for Heather Orgeron
This was another great audiobook written by Heather M. Orgeron and performed by Virginia Rose and Joe Arden. It’s the second book in the Cajun Girls series, and just as funny and sweet as the first book.
This is Gina’s story, Spencer’s foul mouth, spunky best friend. She’s known for being a cougar and one night stands, but her love and loyalty for Spencer and her boys makes her likable the most.
Gina takes her three godsons on a family cruise where she meets Jeffrey, a 40 year old widow, and his two girls. Just like the first book, most of the humor comes from the mouth of a three year old, only this time it’s a little girl. The relationship Jeffrey has with his girls makes him so endearing, and you root for his happiness.
I loved the story, and performances, but could do without the excessive profanity.

🎧 Gina/Gigi and Jeffrey/CEO 🎧
Second in series is second best. More ridiculous but funny scenarios and kidscapades, and some truly touching moments.
There were a few inconsistencies in characterisation and pronunciation that jarred, so while Virginia Rose and Joe Arden did a fairly decent job, I preferred the narration on book 1.
