Eine Backstube im Reetdachhaus und eine neue Familie.

Marieke zieht mit ihrem Sohn von der Großstadt ans friesische Meer. Für beide ist es eine Wohltat, einmal tief durchzuatmen. Die gemütliche Einliegerwohnung im Reetdachhaus von Berta Tetens wird ihnen bald ein neues Zuhause. Seit sie bei ihr wohnen, verwöhnt die alte Frau sie mit Backwerken aus ihrer kleinen Friesenküche.

Die anderen Senioren von St. Peter-Ording, denen Marieke im Alltag hilft, schließen sie ebenfalls sofort ins Herz. Spontan kommt ihr eine Idee: Sie gründet einen Kuchen-Club und bringt alle in Bertas Backstube zusammen. Bald werden die "Oma-Kuchen" zum Kassenschlager, was dem Besitzer der hiesigen Cafébar gar nicht gefällt. Marieke will den Kopf schon in den Sand stecken. Dabei ahnt sie noch nicht, wohin ihr kulinarischer Wettbewerb führt...
