Critic Reviews

The much-anticipated final instalment of the Wool trilogy. The next Hunger Games ( The Sunday Times)
Thrilling, thought-provoking and memorable ... one of dystopian fiction's masterpieces alongside the likes of 1984 and Brave New World ( Daily Express)

Weakest of the trilogy

Would you listen to Dust again? Why?

No, it was not a well written book, simply a means to end the trilogy

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The story did not hold up to expectation and was simply a means to conclude the trilogy story. On its own not great, as a book end, it was ok

What three words best describe Susannah Harker’s performance?

Ok at best

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nope!

Any additional comments?

Only read to finish the trilogy

A great conclusion to the WOOL trilogy

Another great read from Hugh Howey. Better than SHIFT, more focused, yet not as engaging as the original that started it all. Perhaps this is just how it goes, given the scale of what's at stake in the world of WOOL. It's great, without doubt.

Listening to a book I read and love

You know what I love about this book series? I read it a number of years ago and I remember loving the book. The feeling of satisfaction as the story unfolds. I didn't, however, remember the story.
Being able to experience the story again, with the audio book performance was pure bliss. Thank you.

Best of the 3 books

I found book 2 hard to get through but this was a fitting end to the saga and the narrator for me was spot on, wish she had done the 2 book.

Brilliant

I couldn't put it down. The twists and turns are sometimes unexpected and even when the author knows you will figure it out, still manages to suprise. Definately worth it.

Perfect Sci Fi

Just uses the setting to open up a fantastic story and character driven plot which is gutting to get to the end of.

I didn't want it to end

I absolutely LOVED this book. A very mature dystopian text with so many plot twists and turns. I was in a constant state of shock the whole way through the trilogy. One of the best series I have ever read as it remains consistently good throughout.

I listened to this trilogy at the same time as my friend. I would strongly recommend this as you will be bursting to talk about it with someone.

Exciting and gripping!!

This trilogy starting with Shift, then Wool and now Dust is truly outstanding. I couldn't stop listening, and was wholly absorbed. Loved it.
This is the second time I've listened to them and it won't be the last. Highly recommended.

Dust - a fine conclusion to the trilogy

The story had to end somewhere, this was an admirable ending. After book two which was, I thought, the best of the three, we are reunited with Juliette and her silo for a thought provoking finale. I highly recommend this instalment.
This trilogy has been very well written, a hidden gem.

Susannah Barker is bored with this great story

Great finish to the series. I want more, just like I have done with all the other books.

Susannah Harker almost wrecks this audiobook, but fortunately the story shines through. I enjoyed Peter Brooke's voicing of the second instalment a hell of a lot more.

A good easy read

Enjoyable. Heavy subject material without too many hurdles. Plays out easily for you. Feels like a young adult story but still enjoyable.
