Had to struggle through this one

I can't say I liked this book. The book seemed as if it were written for conversion to a movie by a second-rate Bollywood director in Mumbai. Every conversation is melodramatic. The protagonists seem incompetent half of the time, and keep getting first into trouble, then out of it in the nick of time. The threads of emotion are unconvincing, and Jessica Reel comes off as very strange. It used to be that I never wanted Baldacci's books to end: this time I kept fast-forwarding the narration.

Assasins, not detectives.

A bit let down by this instalment. Had nothing to do with the synopsis at all. Still a good read but these guys are meant to be assasins not detectives.

Not up to par with rest of series

This book wasn't too enjoyable. It seems they spent too much time throwing as much as they could that a good story didn't ever evolve. Additionally the main characters exhibited dumb decisions which were only overcome with luck, leaving a trail of dead friends in their path. I just didn't enjoy this one too much. I'm not sure I enjoy the direction they are taking this Robie series.

Not the usual Baldacci standard

I have read many DB books and usually enjoy them for what they are....somewhat impossible adventures with a bit of everything thrown in. However although this one was very much written in the same style I found it boring and annoying. Robbie and Reel are just far too unbelievable and incredible. This was not one of his better books.

Another Good read from Baldacci

A great read/listen that sets of with a full head of steam. Both of the Robie series heroes are back both exhibiting some human flaws. The storyline does feel a tad contrived but a great read /listen all the same.

Disappointed

This was the least impressive book in the series so far. The storyline stretched the bounds of credibility a little too far for my liking.
