My favourite Bauer - against stiff competition
An absolute gem of a book - rounded, purposeful characters; twisty; kind; poignant and very very funny. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Tim McInnerny is a perfect, sometimes hilarious, narrator. Loved loved loved it.

Fantastic
I feel like I’ve waited a long time for another Belinda Bauer novel but this was definitely worth the wait. And such a treat to have Tim McInnerny reading! A bit of a twisty tale this one, with the usual array of nicely drawn characters- some familiar & some new.

hilarious & heartwarming
Was not expecting this, as its the first BB book I have listened to/read. It is beautifully written (and with proper grammar not 'was stood' etc) - and with really likeable characters. It is laugh-out-loud in plenty of places, even though not always an amusing subject. Definitely recommended!

Best book of the year for me
Had to review this one, so good.
Great characters, great humour, excellent narration.
First couple chapters are a bit slow, stick with it though.
I cannot recommend highly enough, it’s definitely worth all the high reviews.

Exit
One of the funniest books I have listened to in a long while. A great story and all the West country accents and mannerisms so beautifully narrated by the brilliant Tim McInnerny. Going to read everything by Belinda Bauer now this would make a perfect TV drama!

Storytelling at its best
Another small town 'thriller' full of dark and comic twists and turns, with a cast of delightfully flawed characters. Absolutely engaging storyline with superb narration. Found it hard to switch off as I got caught up in the tale. I've now read/ listened to all of Belinda Bauer's books. What to listen to next? A hard act to follow.

Absolutely brilliant
I loved this book from start to finish. Tim Mclnnerny really brought the characters to life. Everyone needs a Felix in their lives.
So sad at times but also very heart warming. Well done Belinda.

The most delightful listen I have had in a while
From the Guy Ritchie tie-in plot, the characters, the very English descriptions, the subtle humour & the beautiful voice of the narrator - this has had me chuckling throughout the novel. Needed this kind of book in my playlist - thank you Belinda

Charming and terrific plot
Really liked the warmth for the characters and the unexpected plot twists
Did I miss the time period it was set? I couldn’t really work out of it was the early 2000’s and for some reason this was a bit distracting.

Belinda Bauer never disappoints.
It's official. I'm a confirmed Belinda Bauer fan. I really enjoyed the Exmoor trilogy, but I liked Exit even more. What an unusual story and the old men were surprisingly intriguing characters.
While I think Tim Mcinerney is a wonderful film and TV actor, and he certainly has a beautiful voice, I was rather disappointed with his range of character voices. His women's voices were dreadful and the varied police officers, male and female, were made to sound like pantomime yokels. What a pity the chap who read two of the Exmoor books could not have read this.
I look forward to listening to every Belinda Bauer book I can find.
