Publisher's Summary

This morning, my daughter sat right here, munching her breakfast, too excited to finish it. Now, she is missing.

The day after her ninth birthday, Lucie and Blake Sullivan agree, for the very first time, to let their daughter, Grace, make the four-minute walk back home alone from a friend’s house just down the street.

They joke with friends about hiding behind bushes to ensure she is safe. But the joke turns sour when Grace does not appear.

Despite the best efforts of the police and local community, Grace seems to have vanished into thin air. With hope fading fast, Lucie knows she can rely on her husband to support her through such dark times. That is until the day she makes a shocking discovery, hidden in Blake’s desk, and suddenly she begins to doubt everything she knew about the man she married.

But Lucie harbours a terrible secret of her own. One that she has never shared with anyone, even Blake....

And as the search for Grace reaches fever pitch, Lucie receives a terrifying message. If she is ever to see Grace again, Lucie has no choice but to face the past she tried hard to bury forever. And she must do it alone.

The most gripping psychological thriller you’ll listen to this year from the best-selling author K.L. Slater. If you love The Wife Between Us or Gone Girl, you’ll be totally hooked on Finding Grace.

Boring Until The Last Hour

No Spoilers! Not enough suspense and I found the main character to be a bore. There were some twists at the end but I could see them coming early on. The main character was quite dim and I found her annoying. The only excellent part was the narrator.

If you like lots of drama with minimal suspense then you may enjoy this book.

A Really GOOD Book That Stays On Focus

I am so happy to have found this author! She writes in the style that I love. She stays on focus of the story and doesn't go off on tangents about things that don't forward the story. I love that style because I never get bored with the book. Can't wait to read more by her. The narration was great!

Can anyone actually be so GULLIBLE?

This was difficult for me to finish. The foolish Lucy is hard to swallow. She's difficult to relate to because she is so profoundly unbelievable., as are the rest of the one dimensional characters in the book. The narration was better than the story, but just barely. She sounded screechy and squeaky when delivering female lines, and flat and stuffy when speaking as a male. Save your time and money on this one, and pass it by.

Disappointing

I enjoyed the beginning of the book but as it progressed it was ridiculous. The main character makes one unbelievably bad decision after another until I wanted to scream. The story was improbable and Lucy was a weak and annoying character.

Great book

Great story. Some parts are predictable; there are a couple surprises. You want to just smack Lucy for being so naive. But overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Finding Grace, tediously

The story was actually good. I felt it was tedious because at least the first half had not so much story with people doing things, but the majority of the time with Lucinda going on and on about how she felt, her suspicions, and her overall mental state. Once we got past that, and into more of the ‘16 years ago’ alternating chapters the story moved much faster, and had much more meat to keep your attention. The ending was almost too fast in contrast to the slower portions. But it was a very good job of tying up the loose ends.

Good for a quick listen

I really enjoyed this book. The story was well written and easy to understand. The only thing was that it was a little slow. I wish it had some more overshadowing. But overall great book. Would recommend.

Predictable!

I nearly stopped listening on a number of occasions but based on the reviews I'd read thought it could only get better... I was wrong!

I'm annoyed that I wasted 8 hours of my life on this book, it was ridiculously predictable and just another 'child disappears', 'parents have secrets', 'child reappears' storyline so unless you haven't read one of the many missing child thrillers before, don't waste your time on this one.

Brilliant!

KL Slater does it again! Another cracking book with a great plots and lots of fun twists and turns. Lucy Price Lewis' narration is also brilliant, slow and steady which makes the book easy to listen to and understand

Not a thriller!

I really like KL skater books, but this was not a thriller, it was lacking twists and turns.
Narrator was good although would have liked a different accents for the characters .
