wonderful!
• Note. I am reviewing the audio version of this book.
• I really enjoyed this book.
• With some books, it takes a while to get in to it. Not so with this book. There was a sense of mystery from the start. The characters were engaging from the first page. THIS book was so descriptive. I felt like I was there listening to the girls practise and perform. I loved the family dynamics and how well the characters were develloped. Even the chickens seemed to have a personality of their own.
• I love historical fiction, because I always feel like I have learned something.
• I loved the thread of faith that ran through this story. There was a lot to ponder, about secrets, forgiveness and everything inbetween.
• There were also quite a few surprises.
• The Narration was good. I felt like the narrator hesitated a bit sometimes, but other than that, it was excellent.
• I would highly recommend this book, and am anxiously awaiting the next one in the series.
