Publisher's Summary

She was my foster sister, her luxurious house the only home I'd ever known. I fell in love with Evie before her doctor parents signed my adoption papers.

They threw me out the day they caught us. Now I'm Dr. Jones, so far removed from who I used to be, it seems like a bad dream. I tell myself nothing can touch me. Until I see the residency roster at Alpine University Hospital.

There's only two incoming neurosurgery residents each year. This year it's Landon Jones - and Evie Rutherford.

even thou I'd read the book

With the performance these narrators gave, I was invited to a whole new experience of this book.

as I mentioned, having read the book before my heart when in broken for the circumstances they'd live and yet Mr Harding and Miss Vincent truly gave voice to the HEA in the end.

Loved it!

This book has some very heartfelt and at times heart wrenching parts but Evie and Landon do their best to push through it all and find each other on the other side.

Fractured Love

Forbidden HighS hook romance that get a second chance 10 yrs later This one tugged at my emotions so much more than the others in the series so far. But I still loved it. If I didn’t love Prince Liam so much in book 1 this would be my favorite. It’s close.

Heartbreaking

I found this book to be heartbreaking on the part of Landon. He was treated so badly and had so many bad things happen to him. I didn't really care for Evie after the night they got caught. She was kind of selfish in my opinion. She didn't take in to consideration what would happen to Landon if they were caught and instead continued to worry about herself. And I couldn't believe her parents. They told her that she should care for the less fortunate but then they throw him out of their house on the worst day ever. I think they really over reacted.

I really disliked Evie when they got older. How could she keep such a secret from him? And then to let him find out the way he did was awful. Once again she was selfish. I'm really glad we finally get to learn about Landon's back ground and how it all came to be. And I am glad they got their HEA. It just sucked that they had to go through so much to get there.

Don't get put off by first chapter

It started off really slow and dry... stalkerish monologue then, like ok. girl from your past, no great recognition from her. where is this going? just stalking?
But finally it jumps back to "the beginning " and by the time you reach Part ll (back to present) it makes a little more sense and the dynamic is changed.
Though I really liked the story in the end, I still think the opening was poorly set up and incongruent to the rest of the book.

This book gave me all the feels. I love Landon and Evie’s story and this was my favorite in the series thus far. Both narrators did an excellent job as well.

Loved my audio re-read of Fractured Love!!

Fractured Love is a second-chance romance. It's also much more. It's the good and evils of foster parenting. It's everything that's wrong with society not putting a child first. It's youth finding themselves in a situation they are not prepared for. It's that instant connection between a young girl and not that leads to a solid friendship and ultimately young, passionate love. It's about loss; so much loss. Soul-deep hurt. It's the hope that the connection you have with that one person who really sees you will hold strong through the years.

Imagine finding that one love years later. It's painful, yet beautiful.

Fractured Love reminded me of days gone by with the sweet, frantic, passionate love between Landon and Evie. And in the next breath it tore my heart out. Part I is their past.

Part 2 is their present, which is filled with all the feels of reconnecting and realizing that their love still exists despite the time and loss of ten years apart. The fear is ever-present; of the secrets they kept in the first months they were torn apart. Truths discovered and confronted lead to something so tragic that had me in tears and holding my breath.

I had to re-read the last few chapters to calm myself. Heart stopping and gut-wrenching. Most memorable are the scars. Scars of a shattered childhood. Scars of never knowing the love of a parent. Scars of being torn apart. Scars of loss. Scars of betrayal. Scars healed by time and love and acceptance.

Ella James' Sloth destroyed me. Fractured Love tore me apart and put me back together. I wouldn't have missed Fractured Love for anything.

An ARC received for an honest and thoughtful opinion.
