"Fred am Tell Halaf" führt seine Zuhörer nach Mesopotamien, wo Baron Max von Oppenheim 1899 auf dem Tell Halaf (Tell ist arabisch und bedeutet Hügel) Überreste der aramäischen Stadt Guzana ausgrub. Die durch eine Fliegerbombe im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Funde wurden neun Jahre lang behutsam rekonstruiert und restauriert.
