About this listen
Hear former CIA chief George Tenet and comic writer John Ridley on this edition of Fresh Air.
George Tenet has a new memoir, At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA.
Then, John Ridley, who has written a comic book series, The American Way, has just had his works collected in a graphic novel. Created with Georges Jeanty and Karl Story, the series takes place in 1961, when the government has created a team of super-heroes to battle foreign super-villains. But it's all just a show created to pacify the public. Ridley previously wrote the screenplay for Three Kings and the novel Conversations with the Mann. [Broadcast Date: May 2, 2007]
