Fode sitzt im Senegal fest, nachdem er wegen politischer Verfolgung aus seinem Heimatland Guinea flüchten musste. Seine Freundin Hannah versucht in Wien alle Hebel in Bewegung zu setzen, um ihm eine Einreise nach Österreich zu ermöglichen. Gleichzeitig begibt sich Michael nach Guinea, um Aminata bei der Trennung von ihrem gewalttätigen Ehemann Madu zur Seite zu stehen. Madu nimmt die Einmischung eines anderen Mannes gar nicht gut auf, und greift zu immer hinterhältigeren Mitteln, um das zu bekommen, was er am meisten liebt: Geld.
