Goblins

It's an X-Files book. I'm pre-disposed to love it. I read it before, many years ago, and enjoyed both reads. Typical storyline...recognizable characters...fun exploits.

Not a bad start

The story was okay. I felt the characterizations of Mulder and Scully were mostly on-point, with a few off moments, but nothing particularly jarring. It read like a typical filler episode of The X-Files, nothing special, but enough to hold my interest. No major complaints about narration, it was a decent enough job. As is typical with books about TV shows, you'll have to use your imagination to believe it's Mulder and Scully speaking.

boring to listen to.

pretty good, as far as x-files go, decent voice work and good enough to keep you listening.

Full cast would have helped!

Love the x-files, read this back in the day. The book is an over-described, average story. If it were acted out by a full cast of the original actors, it would be fair. Narrated, it is hard to get through.

About average

The premise of the book starts out like an x-file but quickly loses the "x-file" feel. Mixed with worthless extra characters and a few missteps in the characterization of Mulder and Scully only gives the book an "okay" rating. The performance wasn't terrible but nothing to write home about either.

Great Story Overall!!!!

I loved this book somewhat overall I won't listen to it again thereis just too many cuss words in this book and they always say the GD phrase way too much it really offends me and hurts my ears because I'm a Believer in Jesus Christ and I don't believe it's right to say the Lord's name in vain so many times. they just did it too many times for no reason at all. Other than that the storyline was great just like a good old-fashioned X-Files episode. I just wish they would do a narrator for the guy parks and a narrator for the girl parts so that way we could have a female for Scully and a male for Mulder

not as good as the others

The narrator did a great job, I just did not care for his voice when it comes to scullyand mulder. in all, the goblin story just wasn't that great it didn't really keep my attention span too much

Disappointed

Has Goblins turned you off from other books in this genre?

Been wanting to listen to this book for yrs but sadly the story is bogged down by FBI politics and too much description and too little action. Other X-files books hit the mark better.

Thought the characters were a little inconsistent.

The story was great, much like the X-Files we know and love but I thought the portrayal of Moulder and Scully were a but out of character in some parts.
