Publisher's Summary

Aditya runs a gaming company that is struggling to break even. A banker slips off a high-rise building, plunging to her death. The finance minister has made some promises that he is finding hard to keep. The LTTE has unleashed terror in America that sends the FBI on a wild goose chase, bringing them to Mumbai.

Enter Varun, part-time drug dealer and full-time genius. He turns around the gaming company before disaster strikes. Meanwhile, the investigators plunge headlong into the shady world of bitcoins and the Dark Net, websites that only exist for illegal transactions - drugs, sex, and money. God Is a Gamer culminates in a stunning climax where money means nothing, assassination is taught by the ancient Greeks, and nothing is as it seems.

Too unbelievable

While the buildup is nicely paced, ensuring that there is never a let up, the climax unpredictable though, leaves too many loose ends.

Earthquake beneath your feet

Or so I felt it after finishing the book. What a complex twist and turn , the suspense gets maintained till end . Quite a thriller from an Indian author to the international level.

A Gripping thriller till the end.

Introducing a lot of characters and plots in a story and bringing them all together in the end is what Mr. Ravi Subramanium is adept at. The story flows seamlessly and is quite informative with the technical terms. Loved listening to this piece on audible.

Good effort.. but could have been better

Plot and twists are good. Swami's character was concluded and was not effectivley used. At few situations, story was dragged... and few lines were explained again and again.. voice over- Arsih did a good job.. but one guy covering multiple characters was not impressive. also some emotions expressed by Arish fornsome characters didnt suit the tone of Arish.

Sensational Thriller

A sensational thriller and masterstroke plot from the king of financial crime writers. However, i still fail to understand the relationship between the title and the plot. The story line is gripping from the start of the book with assasination of American Senator to the spiralling suspense at the end of the book when the true identity of the mastermind in the plot is unveiled. As usual Ravi Subramanian takes us through the dark world of finance in the form of dark web, bitcoins, laundering and their connections to the banking world. There are not too many characters in the book and no one stands out as a protagonist in the entire plot. Each chapter is a scene by itself and it is well connected to the subsequent chapters. The book gets the listener hooked on to reveal the next plot. Overall a fantastic thriller and must read for Ravi's fans. Hope to see his future books take him to the league of masterwriters like Jeffery Archer and John Grisham. This books has all the spices for a Bollywood movie, albeit it may not go down with the masses.

One of the best Mystery-Thriller Novels of recent times.

Really a delightful read if you are a fan of thriller-mysteries which do not let you guess the end of the plot then this is a must read. Further I loved the fact that this novel is the way novels are meant to be, one book one story. Unlike some money crazed writers which split the story over a series of books essentially taking away the joy of reading. These are books not the daily soaps of Ekta kapoor. All in all good language and a good story telling brings the characters to life.
