Story
Welcome back to the shadowy and addictive world of Ashwin Sanghi. After The Rozabal Line, Chanakya’s Chant, The Krishna Key and The Sialkot Saga, Ashwin Sanghi returns at last with another quietly fearsome tale - this time of men who guard the ‘Kalachakra’, or The Wheel of Time. Story
It is a popular belief that the Ramayana is idealistic while the Mahabharata is realistic. Yet these two epics have identical building blocks, identical themes, and identical history. In this groundbreaking book, Devdutt Pattanaik, India’s most popular mythologist, explores the similarities and dissimilarities between the two epics in a ‘playful analaysis’. Whether it is the family structure, forest exile, or war, the comparison between the two epics prove a startling point - the Mahabharata is in fact a reaction to the events in the Ramayana.

Story
Chanakya's Chant is a thrilling novel that tells its listeners about a sharp parallel story between two individuals. One of these individuals is the very person who brought the scattered Indian subcontinent under the reign of Chandragupta Maurya-Chanakya. Chanakya is one of the wisest political strategists to have ever lived in the history of India. The second protagonist is Gangasagar Mishra, who is a rather insignificant Brahmin teacher who seems to be struggling to make ends meet but is actually a reincarnation of Chanakya himself.

One of the best Mystery-Thriller Novels of recent times.
Really a delightful read if you are a fan of thriller-mysteries which do not let you guess the end of the plot then this is a must read. Further I loved the fact that this novel is the way novels are meant to be, one book one story. Unlike some money crazed writers which split the story over a series of books essentially taking away the joy of reading. These are books not the daily soaps of Ekta kapoor. All in all good language and a good story telling brings the characters to life.
