Publisher's Summary

Rich in suspense and brimming with adventure, the New York Times best-selling Underland Chronicles unfold the fate of the Underland and the great warrior, Gregor. Suzanne Collins is also the author of the best-selling Hunger Games trilogy.

Everyone has been trying to keep Gregor from seeing the final prophecy, The Prophecy of Time. It calls for the warrior's death, that warrior being Gregor, of course. Now, an army of rats is quickly approaching and Gregor's mom and little sister Boots are still in Regalia. The entire existence of the Underland is in Gregor's hands and time is running out. There is a code that must be cracked, a new princess to contend with Gregor's burgeoning dark side, and a war designed to end all wars.

In this suspenseful final installment in the acclaimed Underland Chronicles, Suzanne Collins unfolds the fate of the Underland and the great warrior, Gregor the Overlander, in a manner that can only be described as masterful.

Loved the series but the ending is a huge letdown!

This series is wonderful but I have to wonder what on earth Suzanne Collins was thinking when she wrote this ending...It is terrible, it's like she got tired of writing and just decided to stop! I wont say more because I dont want to spoil it for anyone else but PLEASE Ms. Collins...write a 6th book!

If you liked the others in the series, you will like this one too. Fair warning, it gets darker the farther you read in this series, so be mindful with kid readers. Also, I felt like the ending got away from her. I wasn't expecting a fairytale happy ending, but there wasn't much of one. It is an issue I've noticed with this author before. Still worth reading, just don't expect it to get wrapped up.

Not for a 9 year old

I bought this series to listen to with my 9 year old girl, but although I like it very much and may recommend it for her in 2 or 3 years, I thought it was too violent for her.

Great story but Not sure this is for kids

Which character – as performed by Paul Boehmer – was your favorite?

Gregor and. Boots

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

For sure great story

Any additional comments?

This book is awesome but the war scenes and some scenes may not be for kids they are quite violent and descriptive. So this may be a no no if you don't let your kids watch violent bloody movies, it has good character development and it's been written in a typical suzanne Collins style. Good read

A cure for my hunger games hunger!

Where does Gregor and the Code of Claw rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I was prepared to be disappointed in this book because the Hunger Games series was just so darn good. How could Suzanne Collins possibly have had a whole series published before the phenomenon, that I'd never heard of, that was good?? Well, this was excellent and had me hooked in under a minute.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gregor and the Code of Claw?

When the crawlers spoke for the first time with their unique syntax and cadence! "Princess you be, princess!"

Any additional comments?

I am addicted! I've read the whole series. Love, love, love!

More Gregor Wanted

Would like to see Gregor and company in about ten years. His families situation, mrs. Cormasy, the new bonds and allies in the underworld and how Gregor has adjusted to high school and possible college with his rager powers
