Delightful whodunnit

This is a delightful cozy mystery taking place in nowadays English village. I enjoyed it very much.

Wooden story

The narrator did her best with this story and it almost saved it. Unreal situations eg the detective getting involved with a suspect. The flow was jerky; some improbable situations occurred and long-winded details about irrelevant things made it tiresome.
