About this listen

On the day we choose our wedding rings, my fiancé vanishes into thin air.

My fiancé brought me tea and scrambled eggs in bed that morning, and we snuggled together, talking about buying our rings, and about our perfect wedding next year.

Then we headed into town. He held my hand and gazed at the ring I liked best, a smile spreading slowly over his face. Then a glass of bubbly to celebrate. I felt flushed, excited and ready for the rest of my life with the man I loved.

We race to get on the train home. It screams to a halt and I run towards its open doors. Made it.

I think he’s right behind me — but when I turn around, he’s gone.

Expected ending and the story drags on and on to an abstract frustrating ending.. wasted hours to listen to this..

Truly boring

If this book was 3 hour long I would have given 3.5 stars. But listening to 10 hrs for that ending total let down. Performances were good but the story was so repetitive and so annoying at times. MC even after being journalist come forward as dense and dull. And looks like Police around UK only note down whatever you tell them 🙄 and don’t do anything.

Total let down

He’s Gone

🔖 From the very first page, the tension creeps in quietly — and before you know it, you’re lost in the mystery.
🔖 I loved how the author balances emotion with suspense; you feel the grief, the confusion, and the fear.
🔖 The timeline switches between past and present so smoothly — revealing just enough to keep you guessing but never enough to feel safe.
🔖 The writing is atmospheric, with that constant sense of unease that makes it impossible to stop reading.
🔖 Each chapter left me suspicious of someone new, and that’s what made it so addictive.
🔖 The ending? Unexpected, heartbreaking, and oddly satisfying — it lingers long after you close the book.

✨ Final Verdict:
A beautifully written psychological thriller about love, loss, and the haunting power of secrets.

📖 Favorite Line:
"Sometimes the people we trust most are the ones who vanish first."

🔥 One-liner:
When love disappears, what’s left behind is never silence — it’s the truth, waiting to be found.
