Publisher's Summary

When a brother-and-sister team uncover dangerous information hidden in an antique, they have no one to turn to but themselves in the first installment in a suspenseful new series by legendary, number one New York Times best-selling author Fern Michaels....

At first glance, few would guess that Luna and Cullan Bodman are siblings. Cullan is efficient and serious while his younger sister Luna is a free spirit. When the two launch their furniture restoration shop/café - an offshoot of the family’s longtime antique business - in an up-and-coming arts center, little do they know their unique talents may be their only defense in a matter of life and death.

When Luna gets a strange sense about a piece Cullan just acquired, the two find themselves uniting to solve a mystery that has far-reaching consequences - never knowing there are some who’ll stop at nothing to claim what they believe is theirs. Despite their differences, Luna and Cullan know they can rely on each other - and this time, their lives may depend on it...

Who helped her write this?

I have read almost ALL of Fern Michaels books and get excited when a new one comes out! This one never quite gets going. I am sorry to say it is boring. Onto her next book. I hope she writes another “Men of the Sisterhood “ book or another in the Sisterhood series.

Relax with this book

A nice, light read (or listen) with engaging characters, easy to dislike villains and an interesting story with lots of sub-plots. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Boring!

I’m 3.5 hrs into this and board to tears. It must end really strong in order for it to be so highly reviewed (I don’t get it), but I don’t think I can endure any longer. Maybe my expectations were out of line, but I was expecting something much more adventurous. Not this one!

Very boring

The characters are cliche and not interesting. The plot is ridiculous and summed up is a sentence.

Disappointed

I'm sorry I used one of my credits on this book. I usually love Fern Michaels but this just didn't do it. It was monotonous & appeared to be all over the board. Took forever for the point of the story to really get going. I kept listening because I had hoped it would get better. It did not. The ending was a definite anti-climax.

Tedious and unnecessary details!

Couldn't even finish this book. Kept losing the story line, listening to mediocre descriptive narrative.

Don’t listen if sensitive to narrator breathing

I think this story would have been great but unfortunately I only got through a chapter before needing to return this book. The narrator gasps after every.single.sentence. It was just unbearable to listen to those huge gasps every 5-10 seconds. It’s really too bad because I was really intrigued by the premise of the story. Disappointed for the author on this one.

I enjoyed this book very much! ! The narrator was clear, easy to listen to and added an element
of humor to the story. There was an element of suspense and evil doings that made the story more complete. This was a good Audible story!!
