Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
We live in a world that's obsessed with talent. We celebrate gifted students in school, natural athletes in sports, and child prodigies in music. But admiring people who start out with innate advantages leads us to overlook the distance we ourselves can travel. We underestimate the range of skills that we can learn and how good we can become. We can all improve at improving. And when opportunity doesn't knock, there are ways to build a door.
Hidden Potential offers a new framework for raising aspirations and exceeding expectations. Adam Grant weaves together groundbreaking evidence, surprising insights, and vivid storytelling that takes us from the classroom to the boardroom, the playground to the Olympics, and underground to outer space. He shows that progress depends less on how hard you work than how well you learn. Growth is not about the genius you possess-it's about the character you develop. Grant explores how to build the character skills and motivational structures to realize our own potential, and how to design systems that create opportunities for those who have been underrated and overlooked.
Many writers have chronicled the habits of superstars who accomplish great things. This book reveals how anyone can rise to achieve greater things. The true measure of your potential is not the height of the peak you've reached, but how far you've climbed to get there.

Only thing better than reading Adam Grant's books!
I follow all of Adam Grant's work and I was looking forward to reading this book. But as I love listening to his podcasts, I decided I'll try listening to this one. Apart from the brilliant subject matter that is a great mix of research evidence and people's stories, the production of this audio book is so good that I would listen to this first thing in the morning after waking up. There were so many parts where I teared up listening to the personal stories. For someone who always doubts themselves and holds themselves back, and struggles with self belief, this was such an inspiration and a wake-up call! Thank you so much, Adam and team for this book and making it available in audio.

Awesome book, must hear for anyone seeking to improve oneself
The best thing about this is - the author has himself narrated (or read) the book. That makes a huge difference and there are background scores which makes it worth your time. The insights in the book are very good, something you can correlate with. You will have that aha moment. Enjoy listening. Thank you

Great book
Reminds one that we need to look at how far a person has travelled/climbed to reach where they are and then decide their potential instead of judging them with only the results they’ve accomplished

Go for it if you're a Adam Grant fan
I am a Adam Grant fan and this book does not disappoint. finished listening in about 2 days. He has an interesting professorial style of writing and this is present in Hidden Potential as well. I think that a cheat sheet would be helpful. But overall I would gladly reccomend it.
