Publisher's Summary
Curse weaver Kennedy Bennett has resettled into her beloved hometown and opened a shop selling previously hexed antiques. When she fails to win an online auction for a notorious cursed painting, Aiden Connolly - the wealthy and swoon-worthy luck worker she is not dating - swoops in to buy it for her.
Crying Girl is one of a quartet of haunted legendary paintings. Kennedy knows that the "ghosts" are actually curses - fatal ones. The paintings have been missing for years, and Kennedy is thrilled at the chance to uncurse one...until Crying Girl disappears before they can collect it.
Kennedy and Aiden soon discover that the painting hasn't been randomly whisked out of their reach. Someone used it to lure them in, and now that they've snatched the bait, they've been snared in a trap. Either the thief gets what they want...or the four paintings are going to find their way back into the world, and Kennedy and Aiden will be responsible for the deadly chaos the cursed portraits wreak.
Bonus content: This audiobook includes the novella Goddess of Summer Love.

Love it!
I find Kelley Armstrong books are hit and miss for me. The ones I like, I REALLY like. The ones I don’t like, well…you get it. I listened to the first book and have been looking forward to this one being released and I’m happy to report it was another good one! I really liked the narration by Carly Robins (as I have with everything I’ve heard from her). I enjoyed the way Kennedy and Aiden’s relationship progressed, I love Kennedy’s relationships with her sisters (I have very similar relationships with my two sisters), I love the mythology aspect of these stories, and I was definitely hooked from the first page. I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it in less than 24 hours (and it would have been less if I hadn’t needed sleep). I can’t wait for the next installment in the series (I hope!). I have no complaints whatsoever!

A Well Woven Story
The twists are plentiful, the stakes are higher, the curses darker, and the villain is somehow worse than book one. I won't spoil the romance except to say good things come to those who wait... and yell at the audiobook. A bit of Armstrong's trademark dark style flavors more scenes than compared to Cursed Luck, but it makes you appreciate when she returns to the lighter voice of the story all the more. I'll be looking out for both exquisite narrators; go to the end of this book to hear the novella that chronologically comes before the novel, from Vanessa's pov, then double back for Kennedy's story!!!

if you're into hedonistic MCs.......
I like strong , take charge heroines; I like my MCs flawed and human. what I do not like however, is a hedonistic MC, who runs stupidly into situations that should make you pause, over and over again. in real life, such a character would have been killed off within the first half of the book (& rightfully so). disappointing to have an MC barely above ditzy

great story, great narrator
I liked this one even more than the first. this book had nice pace, just the right mix of mystery and answers, action, romance, and history. I like Kelly Armstrong and this one feels very much like what I love about her writing.
there is also a bonus novella at the end, which was a fun surprise. I liked it very much, too. the narrator was different and took a moment to get used to. she's definitely not quite as good as the other narrator, but I got used to it as the story progressed.

Kind of lost the original story
This is really 2.5 stars. The story just started to become more about gods and intrigue. The plot was very weak and there really wasn't much about curse weaving. This book was much shorter than the first which is why there is a novella. I didn't listen to more than 5 minutes of the novella. It was awful.
I dont think I'll read anymore by this author. Her two main characters all come from a single mold. They are the same in every series with the "romance" playing out the same. For instance, Connely and Kennedy are perfect carbon copies of the 2 main characters in Stitch in Time which was better than this series.
This book was entertaining enough for me to get through it, but I wouldn't recommend it. The defeat of the main antagonist was also pretty cheap.
