Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The 18th Cliffehaven novel by Sunday Times best-selling author Ellie Dean.

Peace has finally been declared in the Far East, but for those living at Beach View Boarding House, the news brings mixed emotions.

Peggy Reilly is devastated that her husband, Jim, will not be coming home for Christmas. And Sarah and Jane, who have lived at Beach View throughout much of the conflict, dread what they will find when they go back to Singapore.

Life in Cliffehaven is in a whirlwind of change as the men return from the war and Peggy’s evacuee chicks begin to spread their wings and start new lives in different corners of the world.

Peggy and Jim have longed to be together after so many years apart, but war has left them profoundly changed. Can they rekindle the loving, close relationship they’d shared before?

after reading this entire series I was so looking forward to this 19th book I really enjoyed it the end was enough to spoil the entire series for me.Not to put Peggy and Jim back together was for me so sad and disappointing I'm actually surprised at how sad it made me

Ending series , wish there was more!!

Loved the Cliffehaven series by Ellie Dean. This is the final one, and much awaited. Great story, ties up many loose ends. However, the audio differs from the book as the last chapters of the book aren't on the audio. The book has 512 pages(story has 489 pages), but the audio doesn't include the last "part" of the book. The audio stops at page 458 of the book. This is very disappointing as the last chapters(28-29 & 30) are important. A BIG let down to those of us who are avid fans

Good finish to a wonderful saga!

As the final part in the Cliffhaven series this book met all expectations. It gave closure to the stories of the residents and family of Beach View Boarding House. The journey Ellie Dean has taken her readers on throughout all 18 books in the series has been superb. With love, loss, grief, fear and happiness in every story the reader finds themselves engrossed and wanting more. This is without doubt the best WW2 saga I have ever read and look forward to discovering what other exciting tales this author will bring to her readers.
Well done Ellie Dean and thank you for bringing this wonderful alternate reality to my life.

Missing final 3 chapters??

I have the actual book version of this story and so had flicked through it, listening to the audio book i noticed it seemed to end abruptly, looking at the book I see that there are 3 whole chapters missing from the end of the book. Considering this is the final book in a long series it is a real shame that for some reason it’s been cut short.

Homecoming

Enjoy listening to these stories immensely,
Love Peggy and all the characters have laughed and cried with each story.
Was over the moon listening to the narration by Julie Maisey who in my opinion has been the best, cannot wait for the next book to see how Peggy and Jim lives progress
Excellent !

Not been disappointed.

I've loved every book of Ellie Deans Cliffhaven and this last one hasn't disappointed ! I would have given it a 10 star rating if I could. The narration was excellent. I'm going to miss listening to the lives of Peggy Riley and her extended family. Well done Ellie Dean!👏👏👏

What a roller coaster of a finale

Such a fantastic end to the series. I have laughed and cried with Peggy and all the characters. I didn't even mind that this last installment wasn't read by Ann Dover although Jim sounded a bit 'posher' than previously. Bit sad it has finished.

What a series! - so entertaining and yet so informative right up to this last story. Thank you Ellie Dean and thank you Audible and your narrators for a job well done.
