Publisher's Summary

Even for a top-gun banker, temptation this hot is quite a gamble in a sexy Wall Street romp from New York Times best-selling author Lauren Layne.

An alpha among the wolves of Wall Street, Kennedy Dawson rose to the top of the pack by striking the right contracts at the right times. But there's one deal that's been giving him a run for his money - a pact to never again let his assistant, Kate, get under his skin. She may be smart, gorgeous, and sharp as a whip, but she's definitely off-limits.

Kate Henley isn't a banker, but she knows a thing or two about risk management - specifically, about managing her attraction to her smolderingly sexy boss. She already fell once, and Kennedy showed no sign of paying a return on her investment. So when Kennedy's brother starts pursuing her, Kate figures she has the best of both worlds. Jack is charming, rich, very attentive, and the spitting image of his older brother.

It's also making Kennedy think twice. But to win Kate's heart, he'll have to broker the deal of a lifetime...and prove he's worth the risk.

Awesome book, why in 3rd person thought?!

I've been stalking this series for the final book for months, waiting to hear Kennedy and kate's story. The only disappointment was it being in 3rd person. Why do authors still do this ? lol. Only reason why I kept the book is because of the awesome performance Zachary Webber gives and I actually liked the story.

Best Narrator

Zachary Webber shines...as always. I’ve been waiting a long time to read Kat’s and Kennedy’s story. I enjoyed it very much.

Kennedy is Hot!

I loved the 21 Wall Street series, but this one was my absolute favorite. I am totally in love with Kennedy, and what makes him even more sexy is hearing him voiced by Zachary Webber. I will definitely be listening to these books again in the future.

I love Kate’s spunkiness. She is someone I would love to be friends with if she was an actual person. I’m glad she got her a happy ending.

The one thing I enjoyed is the friendship between the three main males in the story. It was just a different take on similar series, but it was still original enough to be fun. I also love the fact that she didn’t overuse profanity or make it too sexual. I definitely recommend this book.

A deal?

Not a huge deal. The story fell flat. Characters weren't fleshed out well. The timeline moved in fits and starts. Did Ms Layne have her heart in the story, or just produce the right amount of words needed to meet a deadline?

Refreshing!

It’s so refreshing to read an intelligently written book that doesn’t rely on cussing to be interesting or to make up a word count. I’ll definitely be looking for more books by this author. Zachary Webber is a favorite narrator and Samantha Cook was excellent as well. Kennedy was a different sort of Wall St hero, being uptight and traditional, not over-the-top alpha typical of so many books in this boss/assistant genre. The author created complex characters and stayed true to them, even as they grew and developed.

Great book!

I was so excited for this story of Kennedy and Kate, but the only thing I didn't like was that both characters were read in 3rd person. The 1st 2 books in the series were first person, which made the characters more real. This would have been better if in 1st person. Other than that the story was so good! Love this author!

Perfectly Romantic and swoon worthy!

So here’s the deal.... this book has me believe that love and romance is alive and well .... Kennedy is my book boyfriend and soulmate. He’s intelligent, successful, organized, brooding and gorgeous without a clue on what’s under his nose. Kate is the woman who has loved him from first sight but believes her love and lust for Kennedy is just a dream and unrequited.....Kennedy is too perfect for her and too oblivious. He on the other hand has always had feelings for Kate but felt she really did not like him. He did not start seeing how he really felt for Kate until his younger brother comes into the picture and takes an interest in Kate. I LOVED seeing Kennedy unravel and have a “come to Jesus” moment when he begins to notice his jealousy for Kate. Kennedy is what every woman wants in a friend and lover... his patience, tenderness, and his need and desire for the woman he loves is sublime. This book is truly one of the ones I will return to when I need to lose myself in a romance with all the toppings! By the way... the ending was truly unique and so perfectly romantic. Enjoy!!

Great Overall listen!!!

Ok a few things I didn't like was the freaking 3rd person narration.. Also we could have done without all the re-describing of the other characters from previous books over and over, it was annoying. The story line was ok I think Kate was a little too much at times trying to be too tough.. However it was an overall ok listen love Zachary as always!!! My favorite book was book 1 out of this series…

Huge Deal

I love that this couple was the last in the set. The six characters have been the same from the beginning, and each book has given a little bread trail to this couple finally figuring things out. You don't realize how invested Kennedy is in Kate throughout the other books, it almost seems onesided until you get his POV in this book and realize how much it has cost him to appear that way. I loved this series from the beginning not only the characters but the audio was amazing and uniform throughout the series.

Huge Deal

Oh my! Grumpy and stodgy Kennedy is actually a sweet and lovable teddy bear when he wants to be! Kate has finally had enough and even though she is stellar at her job as the assistant to all three of the Wall Street Wonders, Ian, Matt, and Kennedy, she has finally, FINALLY given up on Kennedy and decided she is not going to pine for him any longer nor is she going to love him. Yea right...She is, though, going to treat herself to a makeover and indulge in a fling, or a friendship with Jack, Kennedy's brother, until she breaks up with him. All bets are off though when Kennedy finally manages to get his head out of his a$$ and figure out what is what and opens his eyes to what is in front of him...until it is not. This is the culmination to this series and I highly recommend the entire series! I read the first two books as ARCs for the publisher and this one on audio for me and LOVED them all! Yea, you could read this one as a standalone but why would you want to. :)
