About this listen

In Boyfriend Material, Luc and Oliver met, pretended to fall in love, fell in love for real, dealt with heartbreak and disappointment and family and friends...and somehow figured out a way to make it work. Now it seems like everyone around them is getting married, and Luc's feeling the social pressure to propose. But it'll take more than four weddings, a funeral, and a bowl full of special curry to get these two from "I don't know what I'm doing" to "I do".

Good thing Oliver is such perfect Husband Material.

The story was rather predictable but, it was a nice listen especially because of the narrator.

The narration was the best thing about this book

The way this story explained the complexity and heteronormitivity of marriage at the same time was very interesting. You don't have to marry someone to be together with them, it very much depends on what being together means to you. There is no need to confine yourself in the bubble that now that some parts of the world allow marriage, that's the only choice for a long term commitment.

This book did a great job explaining both sides.

i loved everything about this one. story, writing, narration excellent! it got me through difficult days and helped me get out of my head. i love Luc and Oliver and tremendously loved the story. did not expect that ending but it was absolutely perfect for them!

I absolutely hate these kind of endings. It just feels pointless. They could have reached this conclusion a bit sooner and not in the last effin chapter. All the internal struggles and woe is me just became too much by the end. It started out so well and I enjoyed most of the book because the writing is good but the ending totally spoiled the whole series for me. I will not recommend either of these books to anyone now.
