Publisher's Summary

Wall Street Journal best-selling author Ilsa Madden-Mills returns with an all-new swoon-fest of a novel about what happens when you look beyond labels and take a chance on love.

Badass Athlete: I dare you to...

Delaney Shaw: Who is this?

The late-night text is random, but "Badass Athlete" sure seems to know who she is...Delaney Shaw. Good girl. Lover of fluffy kitties and Star Wars. Curious.

His dare? Spend one night in his bed - a night he promises will be unforgettable - and she can solve the mystery of who he is.

She knows she shouldn't, but what else is she going to do with her boring Valentine's Day? One sexy hookup later, her mind is blown, and the secret's out.

Maverick Monroe. Bad boy. The most talented football player in the country. Just ask him. Too bad for him that Delaney's sworn off dating athletes forever after her last heartbreak.

But Maverick wants more than one night and refuses to give up on winning Delaney’s heart. She isn’t one to be fazed by a set of broad shoulders.

Will the bad boy land the nerd girl, or will the secrets they keep from each other separate them forever?

So Good

This was the most adorable story and I absolutely loved it. Everything from Football to Geekyness included.

Well that went nowhere fast..

Decent plot. Started out well with potential but then it just didn't deliver at all. It went nowhere at all and ended up being a pretty annoying story I really only finished because I had spent the money on it. There was a lot of chemistry between the two main characters but the actual "scenes" were seriously lacking the chemistry. Disappointing.

Just shy of a first down for me.

Excellent Narration!
I wanted to love this book, but it was more miss than hit. Not horrible, but nothing that really wowed me. Based on the cover, I was expecting WOW! The story started strong, and I enjoyed the texts and dares, but then a few things pulled me out of the story. I felt let down that the "big secret" wound up not being a very big deal at all. As a sports fan, I'd have appreciated seeing how this couple coped if more realistic consequences had played out. It just felt as though everything wrapped up too neatly. Delaney and Maverick had great chemistry and seemed to have a fairly good emotional relationship, but I wasn't invested in them as a couple.

Good Read

This story reads good, narrators are good. The main characters have great chemistry. Nice way to pass a couple of hours of good listening.

Great performances from both narrators. The story was sweet with great heat. I would recommend this to my friends.

Not one of my favorites

I normally love anything by Ilsa...but this one just didn’t grab me. It was a bit slow. And then once Maverick and Delanie do finally get together I just couldn’t feel any real chemistry. I am still a huge fan of this author. This book was just not my cup of tea.

Story written in triplicate??!!?!?!

I had just finished “Fake Fiancé” when I listened to this one, so it was very distracting to pretty much hear the same exact story a second time except for a few minor details throughout and the ending. Now I’m afraid to listen to “I Bet You” for fear of hearing it a third time with a different ending. There’s nothing I hate more than WASTED TIME, so I think I’m just gonna move onto other authors and consider this one completed. If you pick one or the other though you won’t be disappointed. Also male narrator wasn’t my favorite but female was awesome

Short - sweet - predictable.

Short - sweet - predictable. Great narrator the audible portion/ performance was the best thing about this book for me. Not that the story wasn’t ok it was just so predictable.
