About this listen
Ivor the Engine is set in the picturesque Welsh countryside, where Ivor, a small steam engine, works for The Merioneth and Llantisilly Railway Traction Company Limited. His driver, Jones the Steam, is his loyal companion, and together they deliver goods and navigate the charming Welsh valleys. Ivor, however, has a dream beyond hauling cargo: he wants to sing with the local choir.
In this final episode, Ivor officially becomes a member of the choir. With his new whistles, he plays his part perfectly, adding a unique touch to the choir's performance. The villagers gather in celebration, as Ivor's musical journey reaches its joyful conclusion.
This audio book tells the story, taken from the very first black-and-white TV series braodcast in the 1950s . Created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin, this wonderful series remains a timeless favourite, remembered by generation after generation.
