Nice bonus interview

I didn’t realize audible was doing this kind of content. I really enjoyed having the additional interview as a sort of addendum to the books. And of course it comes at the right price.

Great to hear the author speak about his book and writing style. Now I can't wait to read The Blade Itself.

the Lord of Grimdark has some depth

I've been a reader and fan of Joe Abercrombie almost from the beginning. So when this interview became available I snapped it up and listened immediately. I guess you can say I'm a fanboy, but I was pleasantly surprised by both the interviewer's questions and Joe's answers. The questions she asked were well thought out and probing. Even better, Abercrombie's replies were insightful and made me appreciate the fine line he walks between his grungy, often violent world and the humor he injects into it. Well done Elise and Audible! If you've never read any of Abercrombie's First Law series, I can highly recommend it.

Okay

Uneven production made sound balance difficult. Too loud then too soft in volume. The Brit accents harder to parse with the sound issue. Some worthy commentary. If interested in the author, give it a listen, otherwise do not.

A graceful conclusion

It's a Western in the First Law world. I enjoyed it very much. As usual exceptionally well wrought characters and lot's of cruelty.

Great author, poor interviewer

Enjoyable to hear one of my favourite authors talking about his work, but a shame that the interviewer was out of her depth and obviously didn’t know his work.

Decent length

I appreciate this interview's length being double that of some others, they had the time to go into more than a couple topics
