Deep, Wise, Healing!
This is my favorite of the "Myths and Stories of the Wise Woman Archetype" series. Clarissa Pinkola Estes disassembles the negative cultural messages we receive about our bodies and provides a series of healing stories, images, and ideas which hold the body as sacred, unique, infinitely precious and idiosyncratic. She threads vivid and unique multicultural metaphors and tales throughout the sessions.
Her voice, pacing, and accents enrich the experience. Hers is a vibrant presence. She brings stories and ideas from many cultures and her language and accents vary by culture.
This is book I will listen to again and again. I could not fully integrate the wealth of knowledge, wisdom and healing in one "reading." Don't miss this unique experience.

Unprecedented! Delightful! Profound! Healing🧡
Dr. Estes has compiled many soul’s lifetimes of stories and wisdoms into a remarkable journey of coming home to one’s self, in a wholly un-mystical, raw, and completely unique and authentic fashion. I am profoundly grateful for her devotion to exposing the raw insides of the feminine- human understandings and for offering them to us with such care. Bless your beautiful soul Ms. Estes.

Joyful and Profound
Estes has a voice as soothing and full of wisdom as could be asked for. This series is a balm and a guide, invoking the wisdom of the body, soul and the mind through the recounting of many stories, both personal, folkloric, mythological and spiritual. Estes does a masterful job using Jungian influenced psychology irrevocably fused with story to provide a guide and a loving push towards loving the body and the self. You'll find eerily pertinent advice and comfort here.

deliciousness for the soul
I love, love, love cpe and her way with words. this book is exceptionally beautiful and lets you see the multi layers of the soul and spirit intertwined with the body. it is a celebration of each individual and every body. especially loved hearing the aunt Edna stories. highly recommended for all women, but especially those who feel low self esteem and who need to be pieced back together and gently steered back to self love and self worth.
loved it. Will be on repeat many times. Thank you so much for such a beautiful gathering of stories and wisdom.
