Upanishads are mankind's oldest works of philosophy, predating the earliest Greek philosophy. They are the concluding part of the Vedas, the ancient Indian sacred literature, and mark the culmination of a tradition of speculative thought first expressed in the Rig-Veda more than 4,000 years ago. Remarkable for their meditative depth, spirit of doubt and intellectual honesty, the Upanishads are concerned with the knowledge of the Brahman, the Ultimate Reality, and man's relationship with it.

Publisher's Summary
The karmic code defines how we will live our lives in the current birth and what the destiny of our future lives will be.
This book is written by someone who spent the first half of his life as a nonbeliever. During his early years, the author contracted arthritis and suffered it for 10 years. Then he met his spiritual teacher, who cured him in 60 seconds flat! The minute that happened, his life changed.
The second half of his life was devoted to practice, philosophy and philanthropy. His learnings, which are the secrets of the spiritual path, have been guardedly kept close to his chest. But as he approaches the final phase of his life, he has decided to share them with those fortunate enough to receive them.
So here is spiritualism, not sacrificed but simplified.

Decodifying spriituality simplistically
There has been an undeniable hype around “Karma Sutra”, and admittedly, that made me both desperate to get my hands on it and excited to read it. After finally having read “Karma Sutra” for the first time, I Immediately wanted to re-read it. However, I forced myself to abstain, realising that I must first absorb its unique message.
“Karma Sutra” is, in its essentiality, a spiritual book, dealing specifically with the subject of “karma”, a word much used but most often misunderstood.
Having said that, I must hasten to assert, this book is not like any other book on spiritualism. I do not normally use words like "inspirational" because they have become so trite and clichéd, but, in this case, I just have to say, the message of “Karma Sutra” is an inspiration. Unlike so many authors who deal with esoteric subjects, expounding in a largely unintelligible manner on abstruse metaphysical philosophies, Hingori has not only ultra-simplified the subject of “karma” (and more) but has interspersed the work with insightful observations and anecdotal material (much of it from personal experience), which makes the book so real to the reader.
It is, to say the very least, incredibly challenging to tackle a subject like spiritualism in a manner never done before. But Hingori has not only done it, but done it with a finesse only a master of his subject could. His writing style is refreshingly easy to follow, and furthermore, he never talks down to his readers. Interestingly, “Karma Sutra” is written in an unapologetically down-to-earth manner, with everything a person who wants to learn about “karma” could aspire for. It is almost impossible to not read it. The reality far surpassed the book’s billing as well as my highest expectations.
In conclusion, I don't think there is anyone who would not reap some benefit from it.

Insightful in trying times
I came across this book at a time when I was at my lowest. I was questioning not only myself but also my destiny. Karma Sutra not only answered my ‘WHYs’ but also my ‘HOWs’. I loved the way Hingori explains the business of Karma. But what for me was the eureka moment was the concept of non-doership. Looking forward to listening/ reading to his other books.
